Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

IT'S A SECRET TO EVERYBODY. (so keep it that way)
That's really cool! Now I feel kinda bad for not remembering who you are =(

So is Razmi x Roti canon now?

I feel like if that was an issue it would've came up around the time they contracted Zone.

yeah... I mean if you think about it Fail has proven himself to be very good at programming and SkullMod is pretty dang good. I'm sure LabZero had him do some kind of test just like they did with Zone so yeah. And guess what he passed so thumbs up.

Congrats to you, my good man! Hope you enjoy this!

Wait a minute, hiring the modder? The demiurge who violates SG's perfect purity? Isn't this creative heresy?
The modder who asked me multiple times whether he was ALLOWED to do something even though there was no way for us to stop him should he choose to do it anyway? That's a dude I'm all ABOUT hiring.

It was great to see Eric at work! I figured I'd go back and get a few screengrabs of his WIPs, which were really neat to look at alongside the concept art.

Btw, during the stream, Eric said that we should maybe expect a Lab Zero stream at least once a week from here on out. Was he referring to devstreams like these last few, or are you guys planning to do a weekly scheduled Update/Q&A stream, like what the first half of Salty usually was for Skullgirls?

I'm always cool with random devstreams, but I also know some people have an easier time tuning in for a specific day and time. Either way, the work you guys have been sharing looks awesome!

Am I the only one that doesn't understand 0xfail's poem thing?

That's a very good question. Probably more dev, but we're always up to answer questions.

(check the first letter of each word)
Oh come on. You coulda just given him a hint like Foxtrot Unicorn Charlie Kilo instead of spelling it out for him. Where's the fun in that?

Why would I give a hint to the solution that requires you to know the solution to figure out :0

Cuz a simple google search would return a Bloodhound Gang song and a wiki page that shows it's military code for spelling the word fuck. Really easy hint.

Not taking his side but the solution wasn't the NATO Phonetic Alphabet, it makes sense as a hint. This whole discussion is silly though.

Maybe it's cause
I'm just an asshole who wants people to understand things.
Nobody got fucking time to go through a long-ass string of hints and decoding for a basic message like that, it's unnecessary man.

I thought it was fun. And as obsessed as half the community is with puns, it's just a matter of time before some of us advance to riddles. Next thing you know we'll all have our installations set up guarding the entrances to ancient caves or temples or stuff.

The Future said:
Who approaches the Bridge of Death? Defeat me this best of three, 'ere the other side ye see!

You could start by running to the room of the three gargoyles. Push in the right tongue, and a door might lead you down the staircase into the wall climb. Here you must choose your next path. You could race up to the observatory, spin the sundial, and pass into the room of the golden idols. Once there, push down on their bases to release the doors. That may take you below, or lead you into the shrine of the silver monkey. Assemble the statue there and you may be headed for the torch room. If the elevator is up, you could jump into the elevator and descend into the mine shaft. You might climb up the ladder, or plow through the stone wall. Find the key, and it may unlock the tombs of the ancient kings, allowing you to climb into the spider's lair! If you escape, you may have a chance to sit upon the throne of the pretender. If the correct door is unlocked, you'll be able to crawl into the pit of despair, and finally make your way through the cave of sighs, back to the temple gate! The choices are yours, and yours alone... Good luck.

Every ancient temple full of traps, riddles, puzzles, and misdirections needs a gamefaqs guide spoiling everything.

Yeah but when do I put the turkeys in the apples to throw them down the waterfall to make the bat appear before the big penguin goes WROOONNPSHHHPUHTUHPUHTUHDUNDUMDUMSQUEEEEEE

Another thing: When in the Dark Forest, be aware that one of the trees might be possessed by a spirit of a temple guard.

Eh, still easier than getting out of that pit.
I heard rumors that some kids barfed while they were in the pit, and the show never bothered to send anyone down there to clean it up. Now that's scary!

Actually, now I wonder how fast Ajna would blitz through that maze. She'd probably bust out the axe-climb strats and bring that whole place down!

Yesterday I was playing the prototype again (first time since the game was funded) and it was so much more fun when it didn't remind me "this might not be made into a full game" all the time. :P

I dunno if Lab0 will use it, but I'll try it out.
Also....I finally got another job! I can finally back indivisible with actual money instead of just word of mouth. Feels good.
Now I just need to choose a donation level.

EDIT:
I know the InDemand feature will continue for a while, but is there an ETA on when the physical reward tiers will be retired? I prefer to split cost across multiple pay checks, but if it's ending soon I'd just bite the bullet and pull it from one.

When they start retiring reward tiers, they'll probably be doing it in the order of value, so I bet the $1000 NPC tier will be the first to go. You might also not want to wait too long if you want to get a Voicemail. Hopefully they won't retire any rewards before everyone has the opportunity to upgrade.

Toonz gonna be Open Source
That's cool to hear! But yeah, I doubt any Lab Zero animators that aren't currently using it will be quick to transition from their current tool of choice. It's nice to have options though.
