Clear? is the normal prototype clear message isn't it? zen is don't kill anything.
 
The question mark only appears if you skip the boss.
 
How can I disable the tutorials?

They only do it after you jump over them, and that doesn't make it any less annoying...

I didn't say it wasn't annoying, I said bugs happen. Key word is "bug". (^.^)
 
That happen with other Rodneys too, they are very hungry now.
 
This is the best time I've got so far for a clearest run. I had a video but it stopped recording in the middle of the first boss fight. I might upload it later if people wanna see what I did before the boss fight.
I actually made a lot of mistakes in this run, so I think that if someone did everything perfectly they can finish in about 17 minutes.

For now this is my best time for the Zen Run, but can be improved easily between like for 20 seconds.

getting past the 2 belu ogres without triggering the fight once is probably the most frustrating thing ever

edit: they also seem to randomly change their positions a little bit from time to time, making it easier to pass them, but I don't know what triggers that

I noticed that after a while of trying the Zen run, enemies start to follow you at full speed and some act very strange, so I decided to quit and restart the game and everything was normal after that.

yeah that bug killed many of my good runs
 
speaking of which, now this bug keeps killing all of my runs, dammit

also, platforms are wider than they actually look, it's quite dirsupting sometimes thinking that you're going to drop down but instead you stand in mid-air

@Mike_Z as it stands, I can't speedrun it anymore because I'm sure to waste ~5-6 seconds on otherwise skippable fights made unskippable by the moonwalking bug
any idea how to avoid it? have tried restarting and redownloading the game, and the bug didn't appear until like 2 days into speedrunning it
it's also happens regardless of whether I stream it or not

Just ran this over on twitch.tv/thelaffingman1 if you want to check out the run. I think this is the fastest time so far confirmed for clearest run but I could be wrong. I only recently became active in this. More can be done with battle optimization I feel but this is pretty good. I should have a youtube video up probably later tonight, but maybe not. I still need to find a decent cutting tool.

This is the link to my run. I'm thinking of a few ways to optimize it but I'd love any input. I'm going to try and skip the gold hair fight here and go straight for the ogres. As long as ajna, zeibei, and tungar have 3 attacks each, there shouldn't be any problem with the last bosses as I use raz as a full time healer, part time debuff

My fastest time for a clearest run at 19:54:06. The reason it got split into two videos with a 3 second gap between them is because ps4 can't record more than 15 mins and I didn't want to stop and waste time in between the two videos.
 
I heard the secret boss is easier when you don't use your axe, does anybody know why?

Ajna's barehanded super revives at any level, allowing you to make more mistakes.
I'd much rather take the quicker battle with Axe at any time, though.
 
It does? I just thought it was a melee super
 
Axe is melee, no axe is a heal.

The double Belu skip is giving me PTSD, so today's probably the last day I'm gonna be attempting runs, I wanna go back to sg...
 
I already dominated that, but what makes me fail is the axe that doesn't hit the walls when I need it and hit the walls when I don't need it.

Wow, we have opposite problems, I quit for now though. If there's an extension, I might try again when I feel more up for it. If anything, good luck with your attempts, and a 3:07 is possible with the testing I've done.
 
Ok hopefully Senvy, the nighthawk of stolen runs doesn't stop by to claim another lol. This is my run from tonight. 18:04.08 clearest boys. Also I suppose this means sub 17 is possible. My platforming was a bit slow at the end and I got the jitters after the final boss

Well, I tried for hours to improve my run, but just for stupid reasons I couldn't, if this gets extension I'll still try to win this contest, if not that's all for me.
