Back on the topic of Young Joseph, he could probably be good if they were more generous for his moves. His Crackers don't have a hitbox on the actual Crackers, only on the middle part (his hand)
The game is sort of like a ground based Marvel and characters like Kakyoin have ridiculous moves and then you have Young JoJo who plays like a SF character.
Maybe give his Crackers an actual hitbox, make Hamon Cola a real DP and let him combo into Unforgettable Memory more consistently.
Also not like a game being ancient ever stopped it from getting new changes decades later (SF2:HDR)
Not saying JJBA will but it's not like it's never happened before
Yeah. Seems like that ship has sailed though since Capcom already did a re-release.
Sometimes I wonder why no one ever romhacks these games, considering how prevalent that hobby is among other genres. Arcade roms harder to mod? Hitbox and move property changes more difficult then altering level placement/text? I dunno.

1. Who is an authority enough to make good romhack changes?
2. Who would actually play it? 3S desperately needs a rebalancing but 3SO was ported as the same game as unpatched arcade because the 3S crowd is all "muh arcade perfection".
The difficulty isn't an issue, since 4th strike exists with new moves for characters etc

Probably legit questions for some people, but it's still strange (and somewhat disappointing to me) that no one ever tries. A small cult selection of rom changes would be interesting, especially for some notably flawed games.
Downloaded the ROM for this last week actually when I was setting up FightCade. I played a bit of it with a friend at the time but haven't gone back to it in the meantime since neither of our schedules have really met up and allowed us to. I'd be interested in playing at some time with people, however I'm a eurbro so I'm not sure what the connections gonna be like if it's going over the atlantic. The netcode is supposedly based on GGPO so I don't imagine it'll be too bad.
I didn't get to mess around with a lot of characters, but so far I'm favouring the bravest, most manly and honest character of them all.
That may not entirely be true.
I'm usually not a fan of zoning characters, but Hol Horse was always my favourite character in the SC manga so I'm happy just playing him
That would be it. It's surprisingly easy to do, too. Just mashing up and down during any of Hol Horse's S shots. Is it console specific, or anything? Anything I can do to not make that happen, short of not using his S? I mean, yeah, don't mash up and down, but sometimes up and down just happens when I'm trying to get it to do other things. I was hoping it was just a bad burn or something.
Hm, I got the "jojoba" and "jojobane" ROMs and Fightcade will start up the game properly with /play and let me play it, but it's not actually registering as a game I have the ROMs for (I assume the one just called "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure" is Heritage).
The control config is also acting like it's a six-button fighter and won't let me rebind whatever's bound to "F" (though it's not a huge deal), and I'm having trouble getting it to recognize a controller (but it's been awhile since I set it up for 3rd Strike).
