OKAY! Merged Bloxotic's thread with the Kansas City thread that was already there, and then merged that thread with the Missouri thread that was already there. Now you're all one big happy family!
 
I'm not happy. KCsrk/KCskellingtons operates 4 hours from STL. Only thing we got together is a bitter (friendlier than you would hope) rivalry. We see each other like twice or thrice a year and refer people to one scene or another if they're in between us. I didn't know there was a second KC thread, but I'd much rather have our two separate threads back for KC and STL.

P.S.
KC operates mainly out of Kansas, especially its skullgirls scene

Yeah I love the STL dudes, but since we are four hours away, separate threads are best.

Don't know if any of you would be interested, but thought I'd share. There's gonna be a Tekken 7 tournament here in Wichita May 17th. I'm going to be bringing my PS3 for SG and hopefully get something going for it; doesn't sound like there are a lot of players for SG, but we'll see! I was thinking I could throw in a Valentine valentine I got from Lab 0 and a copy of the soundtrack for the winner.

If y'all know Darnell, he's the run who's running it all. :)

Then again, if the thread merger causes it to be more active, that's best for both of us. Is there any way we could edit the thread OP to say Kansas/Missouri at the very least?

Had a great time at Weapon X Summit! Huge shoutouts to @fenster @Elda Taluda and @SpaceCadetKeon for making the drive out, and obviously to the STL regulars as well (we're beating your asses in a 4v4 one of these days if it takes until Skullgirls 2).

Midwest Skullgirls scene is super cool people. Hope to play you guys again soon in the future.

Oh yeah and those thunderstorms were fucking bonkers, holy shit.

You're about two hours out from either community. That's probably two long a drive for weekly hookups, but you should try to make it out to a monthly tournament if you can :D

I can confirm that the St. Louis/KC communties are super fun to be with. :3

I dunno how the prospects of going to Monthlies in the short term for me are with my Car situation, and even if that was solved I'd have to consider finances with school/upcoming UFGT in the future, but I will definitely keep it on my radar and come back one of these times because I had a lot of fun seeing you guys.

Also Fuzzy_Snugs needs to come in and give these guys some Squiggly Practice.:PUN:

@fenster it warms my heart. Let's collude against stl from now. I have pancakes and waffles to offer. They have nothing. Well...I kinda posted the recipe for them in their group, but I'm better at it. They ain't got the chicken seasoning tho. So...I'll give you chicken.

I moved into town last week and while where I was before had no scene, I had netplay. I don't even have that until July.
 
I'm gonna be pretty busy over the next few days, but if you wanna find a time to get together, i'd be game. Only problem is that I don't have a spare controller and my place is kinda small.
 
I have 2 controllers and a stick that I play SG/other fighters with, if you play on the PS3. My place is kinda small too, honestly. I've also played Skullgirls for all of an hour so I'm an extreme novice, but I'm always down to play.

Edit: I forgot to mention that I got Skullgirls when it went free last week. I moved the next day, so I didn't have time to download the Big Band/Fukua updates.

Absolutely dude! I'm going to do a better job at keeping our local tournaments up to date in this thread. The next one is looking like it will be on June 21st. And congrats on top 8!

Strong showing at UFGT guys! We're almost on the level, just gotta work on stuff on our game that needs improvement and keep on that grind. I'm really happy we did so well! :D

In addition: If all goes well @bloxotic and I will be living together within the next few months. Weekly Skullgirls hookups have been on a bit of a hiatus lately, but when this happens, they'll come back in full force.
 
i haven't seen anything on the facebook, but I miss things on there all the time. Have any plans been made for the next Maxout?

Also, in regards to gear, I don't got much to bring. My desktop is a Full Tower and heavy as hell, I have no laptop to speak of, and I got a measly 360 controller, with of course the pc adapter and driver's disc.

What can I expect/should try to bring besides the obvious?

We're going to be running Maxout on PS3, so you'll be fine. Eliza won't be near done by then so there's no reason to bring your PC.

We should have enough setups, I wouldn't worry about bringing anything.

Yo, PS Triple? I'm in trouble now, I rock a 360 pad.

Welp, time to lug my heavy ass Full Tower in to the fray. Whoohoo. Anyone got any portable speakers? Cause I have this ol' Surround Sound setup speakerset and I'm not going to drag my whole damn desk with me, nuh uh.

There's really no reason to lug your PC there, we have pad convertors, and if we decide to run it on PC, the locals will bring their PC setups.

i wont be able to make maxout this month, hao is out all that week and getting in on saturday and i would like to pick her up from the airport and what not.
there is a wxs this month but i didnt really want to make a big deal of it being right between ufgt and evo. probably try to hype up one in august, though.

We go to WXS in August, you bring your dudes to maxout in september. Deal, or no deal?
