Columbia is on the way from STL to Kansas City. Unfortunately, I don't think any of those guys are coming out this month. Everyone else that comes out and plays is local to Kansas City/Overland Park/Lee's Summit etc and are usually only 30 minutes or so away from the venue. Do you not otherwise have a way to get here? I'd love to see you be able to make it out and play! #top8squad*

Also, STL dudes, you guys need to make it next Maxout. The 4v4 runback ultimate runback edition needs to happen because we all have gotten a lot better :>) (maybe we could make it 5v5 this time? and can we do RR style for the love of god?)

I was disappointed. for a second i thought that was Steel Panther. Also, totally competent half the time still makes me the best Squigly in Kansas

Its being run on PS3, two out of three, like EVO.

I plan on playing her...she's just not complete enough to really bother playing beta and EVO is going to be run on PS3 without Eliza. When PC beta was the standard we ran that (because Big Band was 100% complete minus his air throw being colored and was being delayed for bullshit patch reasons on consoles), PS3 is the current standard, so that's how it works.

That was oodles of fun. I played like 2 matches of Skullgirls and got rekt on account of pretty much only playing the game once a week, but still. Blazblue had some intense matches if anyone other than me cares about that.

Ell yeah. Let me know when you guys are around. I had never seen the matchup before at the time. I've got a LOT of new tech that I need to try out on it now lol also, if anyone ever plays on psn, I get on there, since the SG players around here tend to be reclusive until Megacake lol

Maaaan, don't even. You can hardly play BB but I'll admit your Peacock is p good. Next time when I'm gonna be at full power level though, so I'll be seeing you July 5th with a body bag in hand.

Also, I'ma bring my setup next time around next Maxout, I think. Sure, all I have is SG, but hey, when's fucking SG? Anyways, it should take all controllers so set up wouldn't be much of a problem. And if someone wants to play Eliza at Maxout, that'd be a bonus. People would get to see the new character in the works.

Let's just hope next Maxout the St. Louis boys and Fuzzy can come around to make it for fucking reals.

RELEVANT DISCUSSION TIME. How would you guys feel about weekly ranbats at the Saturday Riverside Dojo? I think they would be a great idea personally. I'm leaning toward free so we could potentially get new people to play, but if you guys wanted money involved (paid entry with pot at the end) that's cool too.

Much as I'd love to, it's a bit money intensive to try and drive to KC every week. I had to give up on it several years ago, and gas hasn't gotten cheaper in the mean time.

I was referring to doing a local ranbat for KC players at our weekly meetups. Ya'll should do your own too though.
 
id do it if people would show up but its hard enough to get these scrubs to show up as semi weekly casuals.

Man, we're actually trying to get it where we send the winner from the next big Megacake tourney to Evo. At least pay their entry fee, and maybe plane fair, or something. It's all still in the works, but we host the bigger prize official tournaments based on interest on the Megacake Meltdown Facebook page, so make sure you ALL GO LIKE THE PAGE so we can get Skull girls as a big tourney at the next few Megacakes.
 
I second Alex's "come over and play with me if you ever hit up Lawrence" motion. I'd love to have you guys over for some local shenanigans.
 
I don't mind hosting, but my place is kinda small so if a bunch of folks show up it'll be pretty tight. There's no real set day for playing. It's pretty much "when we both have time"
