Marvel vs Capcom Infinite

Hopefully they'll keep this up instead of waiting for next game to fix whatever will be the equivalent of DHC glitch.
.....I'm sure I've said this at least 3 times now, but MVCI is supposed to be a platform game. Like Killer Instinct and SFV, it's gonna stay put and get support for quite a while.
 
Maybe instead of playing whack-a-mole with whatever infinites people discover they could actually design a robust system that ensures infinites can't be possible in the first place.

If only there was another game they could look to for inspiration on how to do that...

...Just curious are you just going to be here to complain about how bad the game is/is going to be? Not saying your complaints aren't occasionally valid but pessimism is can only go so far.

Even a great game like Skullgirls had a lot of trouble (and even infinites!) during its early stages. Combos that could go up to 300+ hits, Fortune head nom infinites.... Just let the game fix its problems :/

yeah don't be like your established brand of fighter that has been like this for decades, be like our fighter! Otherwise, you have bad game design.

dude, Mike had the IPS set in back when the games was in Alpha state. As for the "300+ hits" yeah 2012 Sg didn't have any pratical limits to the combos where you could avoid the IPS by changing each starting hit of your chain to a different move, basically allowing characters to D.O.T. the opponent. However, those combos were not infinites just... combos that could go on for a long time due to lack of hit stun decay allowing for certain loops to be possible.

Aye there's preventing Touch of Deaths and there's preventing infinites, and as MvCI has shown, those are clearly two different things.

Patching out ToDs one at a time is one thing, but it's easier to universally stop infinites. Mike has made a whole list of objectives for prevention mechanics that is longer than just "prevent infinites" "prevent 100% damage", which are not only for the IPS burst system.
 
The 300+ Hits and infinite comments were 2 seperate issues that were addressed later. I'm not stepping on anyone's toes, just pointing out the rough parts in the early part of any fighting game's life. Although those combos existed because they managed to abuse the PS system in the first place so...

The Infinite part I was refering too was the corner om nom combo that could be repeated ad infitium until death.

they added Chun's super kick without the kanjis? preposterous!

They made a whole new game and haven't removed zero's lightning loops. I want to have faith, but it's not that easy

the whole "Location x Days before/after Fusion of Worlds" thing is really annoying. Digalog is really cringy and Animations sway between what that heck, to wow that's some overly acted movement there Spidey. pls stop.

Overall the story mode is better than SFV's but not by much.
 
Black Widow? Now there's a slight surprise. Liked her in the movies but I havent seen her in a game in ages.

Two Capcom and four Marvel DLC characters?
I find this very strange, unbalancing your character select screen as well as cutting short your own fans seems like a bizarre move. I guess they can flip it next year? Also the actual Capcom Unity post implies all 6 characters will be out this year, if that's true then SFV's release schedule is even more baffling than before, or if it's not, which is more likely, why say it? Are DLC seasons going to be 3 months? Who the fuck wants to give them $90 now and then $30 every 3 months?

So far, not a lot of them are good.
A lot of them sound like halfhearted remixes of songs from MVC 3, they don't have any grandoise oomph to them.
Even Jedah's lacks any gravitas to it.
 
I guess Venom could count as a Capcom pick if you do some mental gymnastics and assume he's being added more due to his popularity in previous MvC and not any current popularity he might have

we'll probably get Eddie Brock instead of Flash Thompson too (Flash was way better imo but hey what can you do)

I'm calling it, that leak we saw WAS right but Gill is actually getting added into Season 2 and they wanted to confirm the actual season 1 roster before the game launch.

I'm so excited even if I am a bit bummed Gill isn't season 1. Black Widow is a fine substitute I've been wanting her and Gamora in the games for a while.

I'll be frank, if they actually did this I would buy the game at $40 and not $20 like orignially planned.

What kind of technical problems do you think this game will have at launch? I mean, it's practically a given. Also, another question; how hard is it to mod a game with denuvo?
