max undizzy midscreen conversion with beam dropping

if I hit someone while they're crouching why does it only do the animation for them getting hit crouched for the rest of the string?
I can't get my max undizzy extension when that happens. It makes beam whiff every time.
it's lpx2 lk mp (crmk let all hits rock) call beam right before crhp dash ender btw.
