When: Sunday, Noon.
Signups: 11:00AM to Noon.
Entry: $10
Bracket: Double Elim
PS3

Format:
PS3
-$10 Entry
-The split will be agreed on by ALL of top 3. However, as it stands it will be 70/20/10.
-Double Elimination
-2 out of 3 for every type of match (Size 1, 2, 3, etc)
-Losers Finals, Winners Finals, and Grand Finals will be 3 OUT OF 5

Bracket/Seeding:
The goal is to have 4 little mini quadrants in one decent sized double elimination bracket. With one guaranteed "killer" in each quadrant.

The following people will be seeded by skill, due to previous tournament results. (No Particular Order)

1. SonicFox5000
2. keninblack
3. Dekillsage
4. Blaise

Back up seeds:
Winnie
McPeanuts
OmniSScythe
ElkyDori


Everyone else will be seeded by region, the goal is to make it so a player from Maryland won't have to play his friend from Maryland. If both friends live in separate states, whatever happens happens, tough.

PUT DOWN WHAT STATE YOU'RE FROM WHEN YOU SIGN UP

I can't seed you by region if I don't know what region you're from. So write it down next to your name when you sign up.

If you have to play a "killer" in your area of the bracket early, sorry. Its double elimination for a reason, run it back in losers.

DQ's:
If I call your name a bunch of times and you aren't there, you're DQ'd simple. If you're in winners you go to losers, if you're in losers you go home. Now, of course I'm reasonable. If you need to go to the bathroom, take a phone call, grab food, fine. BUT, TELL ME WHERE YOU'RE GOING SO I CAN HOLD YOUR MATCH. If you tell me, I know not to DQ you and I won't... as long as you don't take an absurd amount of time. If you go to the bathroom for 10 minutes and you didn't tell me, and your match was up, chances are you got DQ'd, so be weary of that.​

Yea I'm right over on the next town its like a 10 min drive for me. Too bad there's no way I would enter a tourney b/c I'm garbage and would just get destroyed by everyone. Oh well.

OKAY.

-Tournament confirmed.
-When the pre-registration goes up. You WILL have the option to sign up and pre reg for SG online. So... BE SURE TO DO THAT PLEASE.
-On site registration will also be available, but it will be way easier to gauge numbers if YOU ALL BE SURE TO PRE REGISTER.

I want numbers guys, i'll let you all know when pre reg is up but lets make it out and beat NEC numbers and fuck it maybe SCR numbers?

Now... question.

How do you guys want to do this... 2 options...

-Run pools/bracket Saturday, save sunday for top 8/4 and see if we can get it streamed.
-Do the whole shabang Sunday.

PLEASE, give me feedback on what you guys want.

If possible run the tournament on saturday, and if we can get it streamed on saturday we might as well do it saturday too. Depends if they have room for us on the schedule doesn't it?

They have room on the schedule, I can say right now getting streamed Saturday is impossible.

If anything. I'll talk to John and see if I can just bring my shit and stream on our own.
^ I really don't want to do this though and would much prefer getting time Sunday from one of the Anime/sub streams.

We'll figure it out. Once the streamers get confirmed I'll talk to the people I need to talk to and try to see if they can squeeze us in.

Then I suppose run it on sunday so more people can potentially show up/ we can play casuals on saturday.
 
Okay 1-1 for either party.

I'd honestly prefer to do pools Saturday and top 8 Sunday.

Gives players time to rest, and we can still do casuals Saturday night.

I just feel that some of yall are sick of getting a one day treatment and I want to spread out the hype, but if enough people are against it we can knock it out in a day.

If you're holding it two days in a row, then I guess there's no way I can show up 2 minutes before the tournament and leave that day again, is there? :p (I vote sunday, btw. Stream > anything else.)

Also, this will I guess be one full year since I started taking tournaments seriously. What a momentous occasion.

Oh wait, I'm a super smart person. I meant Streams > anything else. So is that 3 for finishing sunday and 1 for finishing saturday now, or 2 and 2?

And I'll be there both days. Most likely. I can't drive back and forth twice, too far.

We wouldn't finish the tournament on Saturday, or do it all day on Saturday.

Its either Saturday/Top 8 Sunday

Or all Sunday.

Both chances have as much probability of getting streamed.

SCR is doing the whole thing on one day. SCR got 44 preregs. This tournament will not get 44 preregs, I'm just gonna call that right now. I think it's fine to run it all one day.

This is all probably true but I dunno I just wanna try a different vibe.

Last year we got 20+ and we got 28 at NEC I feel like we can at least beat NEC maybe D:
 
Two days to savor the quality. This is EC SG we're talking about.
 
I also wanna test this to try to conserve hype.

NEC grand finals, and ECT grand finals last year were kinda underwhelming because hella people left to do other stuff after a couple hours of being in a SG tournament and being apart of it.

But I feel like separating SG top 8 to its own little thing can help bring hype to it.

Are there any discount rates for booking a room yet? Trying to debate whether or not I should drive to/from the venue each day.
 
I'm not totally committed to this so I'm just gonna put myself down as a maybe
 
Looks like two days is winning pretty spectacularly, and I don't feel like driving a total of 8 hours over 2 days, so anyone got room for me?
 
I feel like we need to be able to at least round up to 40 people after SCR.
