Semi related but whose getting into Chicago on Thursday and want to do something out of the norm, like Karaoke or any activity that's not the usual stay at venue/hotel room and chill? Because we'll be doing that Friday-Sunday and Thursday should be special. I summon @Kai and any other Chicago-ian to determine what's good to do in Chicago. Or if need be, I can make this it's own thread.

Re: what to do. If you do not want to travel there is a plaza of giant bars that is less than a 5 minute walk. It's more of a bar scene and nothing else but it is kind of a spectacle. If you are up to travel then you are going to have to narrow down your plan of action a little since the world would be your oyster.

I normally recommend visitors check out Galloping Ghost, but they're bringing a bunch of cabinets to CB anyways, so there's kinda no point ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

@NCV since you seem to know the area, are there supermarkets/convenience stores/places for cheap food within walking distance? (I also need a place to get distilled water, I can probably do that at a supermarket but if there's a pharmacy nearby that would be nice too.)
 
NCV, if you don't get drunk and money match sage again and then stay drunk and money match sage again then i am gonna still find you getting drunk and money matching sage again funny.

@Shamanlord I don't *know* the area but there's an area with a whole bunch of bars that's like i said, a spectacle. Lot's of kitschy places to get drunk at. http://www.rosemont.com/nightlife/

If people are up to travel then I could recommend things, depending on time and willingness to travel.

I'm up for anything that involves drinking, bars and meeting people. Not necessarily in this order. o_O'

okay scratch this I just drove by the casino, not walking distance really but still a really short drive/cab ride

Drinking's overrated and bad for your health and I can't stand the taste of alcohol
How do people even stand that stuff, eugh
I remember drinking a whiskey-coke mix and a mix of vodka and lemonade and the drink kinda had me gagging a bit
