The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) assessment is a psychometric questionnaire designed to measure psychological preferences in how people perceive the world and make decisions.
It's a personality test that labels you as one of 16 Different Personality Types based on your answers to a test. Personally I think human beings are a little too complex to be accurately categorized by their personality, but I still think it's pretty cool to know what what type I am. It's sort of like the Zodiac in that regard, although I may not believe in horoscopic fortune-telling I still find it interesting to know what my star sign is.

Here is where you can take the free test, apparently I am INFP.

INTP
Introvert(44%) iNtuitive(12%) Thinking(1%) Perceiving(33%)
  • You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (44%)
  • You have slight preference of Intuition over Sensing (12%)
  • You have marginal or no preference of Thinking over Feeling (1%)
  • You have moderate preference of Perceiving over Judging (33%)
but now that I think about it does it really matter what you are labeled as? you can still easily do the other things too, it may not be preferable to some but you can still be all those types

Plus that test was a bunch of yes or no questions I felt neutral to, if I took it again I'd doubt I'd get the same results

You know you're bored out of your mind when you find yourself taking an online quiz.

Also, I love quizzes that over complicate their words, or reuses their questions but just worded slightly differently.

>"Are you almost never kinda late you some of your ointments?"
>"Are you usually sort of on time to jobs sometimes?"
75% of almost the time, I'm early every time.

They do that to see how consistent you are as well as to provide as much data as possible for the final calculation. Just answer the questions honestly and don't think too hard about it.

Introvert(100%) iNtuitive(75%) Thinking(75%) Judging(56%)

  • You have moderate preference of Judging over Perceiving (56%)

I've taken the 200 question one ~7 times throughout my life and I get INTJ every time.

TLDR version: Myers-Briggs is bullshit.
Of course it's bullshit, it's as bullshit as horoscopes, but proving that it's bullshit is not the point of this thread.
The point of this thread is to find out what personality type it says you are, not to question the validity of the assessment which we all know is weak.

So please future posters, don't reply just to express how unreliable you think the MBTI is, this thread is just supposed to be a fun little thing for everyone to be involved in.

Everyone on the internet seems to be INTP/INFP
I predict that at least half of the people here will be INTJ and therefore are either boring or answering dishonestly.

This... actually describes me pretty well. It even got my current major, heh.

INFJ.

These things always tell me that I should consider philosophy, art school, politics, or the military. Sometimes in that order.

Famous INFJs include:
Adolf Hitler ಠ_ಠ

We took one of these back when I was in school, and I remember being a solid INFP back then. However, now it looks like I'm more of an INFJ. *shrug* I can't remember if the questionnaire was the same, but I feel like I'm more split on these answers than I must have been before. I also think I'm less hindered by my shortcomings today, but I notice far more of them than I used to.

Like, when I was younger, I thought I clearly preferred small groups over large groups, but now I've learned that there are some situations where I dread being in small groups. I've also realized that I'm not the jovial Good Samaritan that I once thought I was. Sure, I like helping people, but I've learned that I'm more hesitant to help someone if I know the gesture won't be reciprocated in some way down the line.

Anyway, these tests are pretty vague, but I still think it's interesting to see how your opinions about yourself can change over the years.

Hacky pseudoscientific test is hacky.

I had to do this test for a uni course a few weeks ago (yes, it was a dumb course) and an alarming number of people got INTP/INTJ considering how rare it's supposed to be. There's a reason that the main Myers-Briggs test is like 40 pages long, and even then it will fail because people will just be answering what they *think* they are (or worse, what they'd *like* to think they are), or else because the test will ask abstract questions to be subjectively interpreted by someone with a couch and a clipboard.
