Monster Hunter

Did they announce a price and release date for the swanky limited edit that comes with the Gore Magala figure?
 
I'm not gonna buy a New 3DS because I don't see enough of a difference to warrant dumping my wallet again.
I'll buy the game and make a decision on the CPP depending on how it plays. I hope it works well without it.

I've seen it priced at $60, but there's no release date as of yet.
 
I've never played one of these games before, but they look awesome! I wish I had heard about it sooner, though. I would have loved to try the demo.

I still need to find a wifi spot so I can actually connect my gameboy for the monster hunter demo. also, I got 2 spare codes if anyone wants to try the demo for 4

Been playing the demo a while now, definitely picking it up on release, but very disappointed in the new 3ds MH4U limited editions getting scalped on ebay for double the price already. Tried preordering one and every GS said they sold out in 2 days. Guess I'll wait on getting a new 3ds then but will still pick up the game. So far charge blade is the most rediculously awesome weapon ever. It's just a ton of fun and pretty easy to use. Insect Glaive is pretty fun too but I can see is gonna require a little practice to get good with.
 
Hell, I'm half tempted to scalp my MH4U limited edition pre-order. Too bad I actually want that swaggy ass Mon Hun 3ds :P

The charge blade is definitely a fun new addition. Those axe phial hits just feel so damn good.
 
I haven't played the demo, but I pre-ordered MH4U anyway.
I should be getting it in about a week.
 
Huge MH fan. The demo was great! I'm getting the new 3DS bundle, most cause my current 3DS is in pretty bad shape...Either way, It'll be a big blast! I mostly use the Great Sword, and it looks like I'll probably stick with that for now...
 
I'll probably switch it up between the Longsword and Light Bowgun. BLOCKING IS FOR BITCHES
Have there been any gameplay changes for Gunners That I should know of?
 
....I just played the Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate Demo on my 3DS.....Um...I have no idea what I'm doing ;w;
I mean, I'm having fun. But, I feel so...Horrible...
My right thumb also keeps reaching over, just to find no right analog stick.... Weapons I've tried so far are the Switch Axe, Dual Blades, and Insect Glave. So far, my favorite of the three has been the Dual Blades. Gonna try out more later today.

it's one of the new weapons.
I really like it.

I got the demo a few days ago. The controls took a little getting used to, but I'm getting the hang of it now. I've tried each weapon at least once and I'm really liking SnS. I think I'm going to focus on it, the Hunting Horn, and the Bow.

I'm gonna have to hold off on getting 4 since my 3DS is one of those bad 3DSes that scratch themselves...
also because I need money for the new3DSXL AND a memory card for it....
after I bought a bigger memory card for my regular one...

although I might get it anyway. we'll see.
 
I put the order in for my CE off amazon so waiting on that. Usually roll LnS but tend to try out everything a bit. Admittedly however I suck with the bow. That weapon and I just don't seem to click.

Bows are tricky man. ya gotta know how to work them.

I'm the same though when it comes to the lances. I can't seem to feel comfortable with them.

Well, the Lagiacrus was fun...The Dire Miralis was a good underwater boss fight. Aside from that? It was ok...screw the Plesioth though. THAT THING CAN GO DIE IN A FIRE!
 
I'm sorry we don't like the torture that is swimming in MH3.
I like being able to face the monster without wrestling bad controls.
good riddance to swimming.

If you're being a C H E A P B O Y like me the controls have actually been tightened, anyone worrying about the CPP not keeping up should put those fears to rest.

I want to go online and test multiplayer out but like other games other people get a little early I'm afraid if someone I may know may get in trouble for it.

It's so on point though, I used to run Hunting Horn but the boy might switch over.

Then again dat Insect Glaive doe.

And in all honesty, the hub world seems to imply you're in the middle of the desert, like "that one episode of avatar:tla" desert, while I'm already seeing rivers and stuff, I'm not sure how many water environments we're even going to get.

This game is throwing resources at me like I downloaded the DLC funds for MH3.

I miss the MH3 Guild Sweetheart. Starting armor is way cooler. Though the old armor was better for gathering.


The Chargeblade is strong as all get out but actually takes a little bit of execution. x>x>x+r>a>a>r>r+x>a>x>x>a+r is rad.

the shield is often so when the monster charges at you, you can sacrifice a bit of stamina to not get knocked down.
at least that's how I've used it.
but that ax-form is godlike.
and those sword swings have PERFECT arcs.
 
i will be getting this tomorrow along with a new 3ds and majoras mask. my life is fucking over ha ha

Have you actually charged the shield?

Charged shield is tied with gunlance shield.

I wish they would let me EQ the maps, I know that on one of these maps, area 10 is the Felyine home place, let me color that a certain color.
 
Man, I had it ordered on Newegg on discount... with free shipping. Which means I won't be getting it for like a week.
 
I might try to get back into the gunlance...

The bow still feels great to use! But Bowguns STILL feel so...ineffective. Anyone else feel this? No matter which shots I use, it doesn't seem to make any real impact. It's why I love the Great Sword and the Charge Blade looks great for this, too, but I want my hits to FEEL heavy, man! It's why I can't stand the Dual Blades XD

yeah, but the speed of your attacks on the dual blades is so sick!

you're not strong but you're just shredding the enemy monster. Its so fun.
