I didn't see that this had a thread, so I decided to make one, seeing as how I just got into this series and season 2 is just around the corner.

For those of you that don't know, My Hero Academia is basically Naruto, but good.

The rival is an edgy fuck who gets treated like he's an edgy fuck instead of being loved.

The large cast is utilized well.

it's more of a shounen Tiger & Bunny than it is Naruto.

also, those examples you used are very minor in tersm of the grand scheme of things considering Naruto both drops the "specials vs non-specials" thing early on, and everyone but a select few are like "fuck Sasuke" after the retrieval.

like, I have some beef with Naruto as well but even if you don't like it, the comparison between the two is beyond stretching it.

fight and it never gets old. Holy shit, I don't remember when was the last time I watched such masterfully constructed epicness.

I think the most interesting thing about MHA's world is that both the Hero and Villain are working their way up to be the best/worst they can be. While Deku learns how to become a stronger hero and restrain his power, Shigaraki learns how to be more cunning, composed, and craft plans.

There's a lot more I want to get into, but I cant tell the pure anime watchers from the manga readers atm, so I'll back off for now.

So I just binge watched both season in like 2 days and if they cuck me with the two love interest protagonists like Assassination Classroom did I;m gonna be heavily upset.

It’s going to be Ochako. She was literally made for Deku if you read the manga.
We don’t need another group of people getting upset that NaruHina is canon. Again.

And before you bring shit up like the Jump Feeta or OVAs, those aren’t canon. The only thing canon in them is Tsu’s friend. That’s it.

There’s a Shounen Jump thing called Jump Festa which will often have original animation for their series done, most of them time they are very non-canon stories or omakes that didn’t make it in. With MHA, the Jump Festa animation has a little Tsu/Deku moment, again, it’s non-canon. And there was an OVA that came out, and it was also non-canon. The only canon thing about it is Tsu’s friend, the basilisk girl.
