It's been a pretty big week around here with Skullgirls Encore getting it's 4th DLC characte. In all the rush of replaying Eliza's story mode over and over there's been a few pieces of news that we didn't get a chance to report on around here. For the sake of convenience we're going to lump them all in this thread.
UPDATE: Status of the Xbox 360 Eliza DLC
Unfortunately, the Eliza DLC failed testing on 360 due to the discovery of a very obscure bug. The bug had been present in all previous builds of Skullgirls but only noticed this time in testing. The issue was fixed and will be released on October 14th on XBLA along with the updated compatibility pack
Patch Notes
With Eliza's release there was quite a substantial set of alterations made to the game, including yet more training mode features, balance tweaking and additional assorted augmentations. You can find the complete list of changes in Skullgirls Encore v1.03 Skin and Bones Edition over on the Skullgirls homepage. While you're there you can also check out Eliza's new character profile.
[prebreak]Keep reading below for details on PSN Avatars, OST, Digital Art Compendium and IGG rewards details![/prebreak]
PSN Avatars
It's been a long time coming, but there are finally Skullgirls avatars available on PSN! Currently they are only available on the US PSN but are expected to arrive on the EU storefront eventually. The process for submitting avatars is apparently quite difficult but they are going to get them. Stay tuned for more info on those!
You may be wondering why Eliza is not featured in that batch of avatars. The reason is that Sony only allows 10 avatars be submitted per month. Next month will see the release of the rest of the playable cast, plus some other fan favorites. The following month will then see a third pack of Skullgals pixel avatars by Paul Robertson!
Unfortunately, those of you on 360 will not be able to decorate your profile with these. LZ have said that gamerpics get very little mileage on 360 these days thanks to the console's focus on the Mii-esque Avatars.
Skullgirls OST and Digital Art Compendium
If you downloaded the last update of the Digital Art Compendium you may have noticed an issue which prevented people from extracting the archive and actually viewing the art files. Thankfully, LZ have mentioned that the DAC will be updated again next week and will hopefully remedying that problem as well as adding in all of Eliza's assets.
The digital OST will be similarly updated with Eliza's tracks on the IndieGoGo Humble Bundle page.
For those of you that missed out on the IndieGoGo and were unable to get access to the DAC or OST, don't worry! Both will be released for sale at some point in the future. The OST will also be made available on iTunes, Amazon and whatever other outlets LZ decide on.
IndieGoGo Backers Rewards
It's been a long time coming, but the physical rewards from the IGG campaign are finally starting to be sent out! The rewards are being handled by Sanshee.com and are being shipped to residents of the US first. The first of these shipments have started to arrive as you can see above.
When your order has shipped, you’ll receive a shipment notification from Sanshee in your e-mail with a tracking number, just like you would from a normal shopping online order.
Please note that rewards will arrive in two batches. Those of you who are expecting the Physical OST will receive two shipments - one with the rewards that have already been finished and a second shipment later when the OST has been fully finished with Beowulf and Robo Fortune's music.
Please post up photos of your rewards below when you get them!
