Lab Zero will soon record the IGG funded alternate voice packs, and the first up is Anime Peacock! Because these are fan-funded bonus material, as many suggestions as possible will be included in her VO script for Sarah Williams. Reply to this thread with your suggestions for a line and the context for the line.

A few notes about Anime Peacock:

She is an American anime fangirl whose hobbies include going to every convention she can afford, practicing her sewing skills for cosplay purposes, and debating with herself about watching that episode in the raw or waiting to download a sub.

She is extremely excitable, loud, obnoxious, and quite a bit friendlier than regular Peacock.

She doesn't speak Japanese, but really wishes she could. Any trendy phrase from an anime (or a poorly pronounced version of it) is fair game.

I suggested this before the great wipe.
But I still think there should be some callbacks to Sarah's previous anime roles.
Like if she's downed by chip damage or jabs.

Every time one of these are posted on a Skullheart thread, it makes me more upset being a Juju fan.
 
Since there are a few JoJo-Eastereggs in the game, one of them being the Avery Steamroller drop, I would love her to have some famous lines out of JoJo's Bizzare Adventure. One of them would of course be: "Wryyyyyyyyyy! or Ureeeyyyyyyyyy!", same deal but spelled different in Phantom Blood and Stardust Crusaders. Or the first is the translated version of the last, don’t know.

I imagine something from DIO or Jotaro Kujo, since these are the most famous even to ones who don’t know the franchise very well. And these are the ones who became memes too, so that would fit for an all anime-fangirl Peacock.

Some suggestions:

"Wryyyyyyyyyy! / Ureeeyyyyyyyyy!" <- Vampire Sound/Scream, became a trademark of DIO.

"Muda Muda Muda!" Meaning "useless" or "futile", DIO uses it first in Phantom Blood as he tells his adversary that he is useless, he repeats the word multiple times out of anger, and in Part 3 (Stardust Crusaders) it became his battle cry that he would use when his stand punches the enemy repentantly. The equivalent to that is Star Platinum’s "Ora Ora Ora!". But since Big Band seems to get a modified version of that (Tuba Tuba Tuba!), I would take Muda Muda for Peacock.

"Yare yare daze..." <- "Gimme a break..." Catchphrase of Jotaro Kujo. Could use the translated phrase too, would work.

"Za Warudo!" <- DIO calls his Stand "The World", which typically end in the latter stopping time. I can’t think of something from Peacock that would fit to this... maybe Lonesome Lenny? That one doesn’t stop time, but she could call him before she pulls him out. Something modified like "Za Lenny!" or something like that? Or maybe something different? Hmh...

There are more time things like "Toki wa tomare" (Time stop) or "Soshite, toki ga ugoki desu" (let time flow again) but I can’t think of a proper way to include these.

Maybe some other lines too like the famous "Oh! My! God!" from old Joseph that she could say when she is defeated, for example.

And of course: If there are some problems using any of this (licensing) or for the case you don’t like being obvious, you could alter the lines like anime Peacock cant quote the exact things because she is in battle. Or alter them to fit certain moves, which would be even better.

I hope I could help you more with that, but I don’t play Peacock so I can’t really think of certain quotes fitting for some of her moves.

As mentioned in the original thread, while doing Argus Agony, saying "Buster Beam!" from Gunbuster would be great as one of her quotes.

Somewhere there should be a "sit boy!" (Inyuasha) since the line is pretty iconic.

when she loses- "SONNA BAKANA!!!" / add another Sonna in front for the more dramatic ones. or 'Muri da.....", or "Arienai!"

Tag in- "DAIJOUBU?" or "The hero has arrived at the last second!"

Victory- "SUGOIIII" or "Did I do good, onii-chan?" or " ORE-SAMA NO... uh... how do you say victory again?"

Taunt- mandatory "Anta Baka?"

All of them being poorly pronounced of course.

That's not possible as far as I know of. If it was, the VO sets would be completely in character, made to the expectations of the native audience, and not parodies of the original scripts.
