Picking the same palette as opponent

Has been reported a bunch

It happens when both players select their palette on the same frame, iirc

Is difficult to fix and an extremely rare occurrence, so it is very very low priority
 
Yeah I mean honestly the fix would be "always let you pick whatever palette you want and just force the opponent's color to be different if it's the same". IIRC some other game does this online.
