Noob question incoming. Does it seem right that you can kill a character and then snap them out before the next character in line enters? I only ask this because I was playing against a team of two with Valentine in it and killed the point and snapped them out. For some reason I thought they would just wall bounce and stay on the screen, but they exited and never returned.

Is this a disadvantage for a Valentine player if she isn't given the option of using Rebirth EX Machina because her teammates no longer exist? Or do people any use her level five and it isn't really important?

Noticed this too.
Personally I use it for situations where the enemies team looks like this
Char 1 [||||||----------------]
Char 2 [||||||||||||||||||----]
Char 3 [|||:::::::::::::------]

:: is red health.

You can purposely kill character 1 with a launch or an air string that doesn't knock down so that they don't enter their KO animation right away. Then you snap to the third character to remove their red health and finish them off instead of the second character. Personally I like it and what it adds to the game.

Also Val's revive rarely comes out.

Hardly anyone uses Val's level 5, so it doesn't really matter.
(There are always exceptions of course.)

That's a smart way to look at how to deal with the situation, but like you said, no one really uses Val's revive so it shouldn't matter.

Welp. I guess the decision is official. Might as well not waste meter for a tactic such as this.

Snapping a dead character out to bring their anchor in is a fantastic idea if they have a Safe DHC on anchor, and a high-priority yolo super on their second character or some other good way to reversal->super. This removes their ability to yolo super->DHC out once they land/if they can make you block air super on their incoming.

Reviving a good assist when you have 5 meters around is an excellent use of 5 meters...
