Very simple question, is LK Osiris Spiral safe on block or not? I don't know how to properly test this in training mode and I can't find frame data anywhere yet.
 
it is -2 on block so no, but most moves are not fast enough sooooo kinda (if it means anything it is her safest move that she can do in a block string last I checked)
 
So basically its safe if you do it and block afterwards, but unsafe if you try any other move after.

also should mention frame data is under advanced attack data
 
It's safe against anyone other than Band. Band can punish it with SSJ; no one else has a guaranteed punish against it.
 
It's not safe against certain PBGC's, especially if you are in the corner, but otherwise its safe and needs meter to punish.
 
No blockstring is ever truly "safe" against PBGC, though.

Hey. Did anyone actually go into training mode to test any of this, or are you all just saying things that sound right? Went into training mode. Big Band's SSJ does not punish on block (unless there's a bug with setting Big Band to super on reaction). No super does (checked US, Fenrir, SSJ, the fastest supers afaik). The only thing that seems to punish is PBGC the first hit, but even still it looks like only Big Band and Squigly can punish with SBO and SSJ (works midscreen). There may be a couple characters who can PBGC super if your back is to the wall, but putting this at the end of a blockstring will give the distance you probably need to still be safe (didn't check, but anyone else totally can).

Bottom line, unless their name is Big Band or Squigly, them blocking the first hit of Spiral means, yes, you're safe. Put lk spiral at the end of every block string and laugh when they mash super.

I thought SSJ had 2 frame startup? L Spiral is -2 on block, so that should hit, shouldn't it?

SG frame data does not include the first active frame. 2f startup punishes moves that are -3; can't punish -2.
 
am I missing something? I went into frame data and SSJ had 9 frames of start up, is like hitstop calculated or something?

It could be 2 frames startup, and then the other 7 frames are after super flash, and I think hitstop is 8 frames (don't know where to confirm that) so it hits when they still can't move. But I don't really know. All I know for sure is that it doesn't work punishing lk spiral.
