How do I get used to reading combos that involve the letter buttons instead of the buttons I have ( square , x , triangle , circle)

This might help you, only applies to default controls

Just remember punches on top, kicks on bottom, lights on left, heavies on right (shoulder). Try to get used to thinking in this language, because it carries an important semantic meaning that will ultimately help you understand the game better.
