"This is a one-on-one fighting game in which players engage in matches featuring characters and settings from feudal Japan. Players use swords, daggers, spears, and hooks to attack opponents and drain their health meters. Fights are highlighted by cries of pain, slashing/impact sounds, and large blood-splatter effects. Each character can perform dramatic special moves, shown in brief cutscenes; some special moves involve repeated slashing of opponents; stabbing/impaling; tossing of bombs. Special-move sequences sometimes depict slow-motion effects and close-up camera angles; several moves result in large blood-splatter effects and occasional dismemberment (torsos). I’ll never forget the one for Fire Emblem: Fates, where they claimed there were guns in the game.

Spoilers: the game had no guns.

It's SamSho, there really isn't much in terms of training mode tech to look for. Fundamentals are more important. If the balance is anything like 5 Special, then it'll be more like SSF2T where individual match ups matter more than tier position (e.g. Mina forcing even a number of high tiers to change the way they play against her despite bring lower mid-tier).

Will be out June 25 (Two days before the Japanese release) if you buy before June 30th you be able to get the season pass for free!

Well, that trailer did a good job selling it to me.
Free Season Pass is also quite tantalizing, but June is an absolutely packed month in terms of game releases, and if they have a promo for a free season pass, I can't imagine they can delay it.

They've been saying this since PAX.

And it's nothing new. 3 and 4 are prequels to 2 and 5 (or Zero in Japan) is a prequel to the entire series.

I'm glad Kazuki is back, even though it's odd there's no Sogetsu.

Wan Fu is a really bizarre choice though.
 
Fuck yeah Kazuki and Basara.

Also they kind of fucked up the way they released the season pass, you can just go get it for free even if you don't own the game.
