Hi!
I had to miss a bunch of LGS events over the past year due to other conflicts: CEOtaku, Yuzutaku, the Send The World To Combo Breaker exhibition matches, a family reunion, illness, and so on. The times that I have been able to make it there, I was the only Skullgirls player so I basically just had to sit around and talk to Blazblue and Arcana Heart players and not play anything. I want London Skullgirls locals to be a thing again so I figured I'd ask you guys what you want to do, hopefully without shaming anyone for not turning up; supporting your scene is a great thing to do, but people shouldn't be forced to go to events if they don't want to.
We could start turning up to LGS again, or stop running London Skullgirls locals altogether, or run them somewhere else (if anyone has any ideas), or I could force myself to learn Blazblue or Arcana Heart and keep attending LGS just in case any Skullgirls players appear, or anything else really. Maybe it's just that people didn't realize Skullgirls at LGS was still happening because I had to miss a bunch of months.
For what it's worth, I don't think any of this will affect whether or not Skullgirls will be at the next Revo. It does, however, affect whether or not me and the other UK Skullgirls players get to play offline more than once or twice a year :(
If anyone here still plays the game but doesn't want to attend locals any more, I'd love to know why. Not to try and shame you into changing your mind or anything, just so I have a better idea of what to improve. Feel free to PM me here or on steam or discord or anywhere else if you don't want to do it on a public forum.
Tagging a bunch of local-ish players:
@Smile @Woofly @C4IQ MOP @HDJammerz (I don't think you're on Skullheart...)
@me-tan @Pombear @TiredOcean (pretty sure you two are inactive but just in case...)
@Alex12898 (not really London, I know, but you're UK so I didn't want you to feel left out)
@Grodie (you're my roommate and I know you're busy on Saturdays but I wanted the list to be longer)
