That'd be interesting. Right now I wouldn't want Virt to take any work away from Vincent/Michiru and the other LabZero sound guys, but a collaboration in the future could be pretty awesome.

If LabZero ever had the ability to do retro-character themes as DLC, that would definitely be a great opportunity to commission Virt for a couple tracks. They could have Virt nail some SNES sounds, Wizzy rock the CPS2, and Michiru bust out the FM Synthesis.

Heck, a good chunk of LabZero's team is already working HGH, so it'd also be nice to see WayForward throw some love to Skullgirls directly. WF's got some great BG artists on-call, so I could actually see them collaborating with LabZero on a bonus stage, or something. WF could knock out the art for it, throw in a few cameos, and of course, have Virt do the music. It'd be like Skullgirls' equivalent to the Snoop Dogg stage, but with less weed.

But Yamane's the one that makes me more curious and excited in that department. She worked with some of the best in the biz on some of my favorite soundtracks of that era, but it feels like it's been ages since she rocked the old synths. I just wanna hear if she's still "GOT IT!"
 
I'm going on a three hour trip for a wrestling tournament so I downloaded Pirate's Curse for the ride.
I hope it was worth the $20. Ah I'm sure it will be.

I'm sitting in my hotel room right now and I have to say that the game was pretty good. I'm in the second dungeon right now, the one after save Rottytops segment, which I'll admit was pretty cute. Considering that Skullgirls is still only $15 I still think that Pirate's Curse is a little pricey, but I don't regret buying it.

Glad you're enjoying the game Zen. =) I already got the 100% ending but I also want to get the 100% speedrun ending but I don't know how fast I would have to beat the game to do so.
 
Has there been any declaration of a PC release?
 
Wow, Pirates Curse has a surprisingly large amount of fan service.
Those Spring Breakers on Saliva Island didn't need to be there at all, their whole purpose was to provide a puzzle element and to show off anime titties in bikinis. That escape from the palace stealth sequence was just an excuse to put all the girls in sexy dancer outfits. I mean I'm not complaining, it's just unexpected.
Risky's Revenge was very tame compared to this.

Did you guys forget that in the first game you could belly dance for money? And where has her age ever been confirmed? I thought she was a lot older than 17.

I was actually surprised that Ruin suggested that she was 17. Usually internet users would suggest that she was older than that so they wouldn't feel bad about jacking off to Rule 34 of her, those sick bastards.

Yeah though, there's no official statement as far as I know.
 
I always thought she was like mid 20's. Never seemed like a teenager to me.

The Wiki says "Unknown but looks 15-16 years old."

That's one of the problems with modern cartoony art styles.
It's difficult to make the distinction between teenagers and young adults.
 
I think that's always been a thing. Characters have had features of exaggerated youth since Betty Boop.
 
So 2 weeks until Half Genie Hero backing is closed

I upped mine from $15 to $55, meaning I get the beta and Tinkerbat

Haven't played a Shantae game but I know they're top tier, so I won't regret this.
