PLanning to get it after I get Persona 4 Beaten.
Can't wait for the update, and I really hope the Shadow versions of other characters get different dialogue.
I mean shit, how did you not want to hear more Shadow Yosuke?

Used to play for a while. The first second I got into the game I fell for Lab and her mechanics, being able to kill someone from half life with red axe was so satisfying. Sadly I got it for 360 and at that time the community was already dead, most of the time I couldn't find anyone playing so I ended up dropping it for BBCSE.

I have it and love it I just haven't played it often ^^;

Shadow Yosuke and Shadow Labrys will be best buds. Just going around calling everyone dumbasses. He was actually one of my favorite Shadows (personal favorite, in terms of attitude, is Shadow Kanji. He wasn't exactly all that mean, he was fabulous). In terms of the problem that they spat to everyone, gotta be Shadow Naoto.

I don't have playable Internet right now, but I hope the sequel that they (better) localize will bring the game into a brand new light. I love playing it so much. It's so much fun. Like actually.

I REALLY want it to be an update, but so much stuff is different and being added that its most likely a sequel...I kinda feel bad for those who just recently brought it if that's the case.

By the by, I play Elizabeth, Chie, and Akihiko, if anyone was wondering.

After getting into SkullGirls I wanted to learn more about fighting games. Most of my experience came from Soul Calibur, Mortal Kombat 9, and some Street Fighter 4. So I looked at some 2D fighters and I eventually decided on Persona 4 Arena, mostly because it was recommended by Pat and Woolie in their "Super On-Time Top Ten of 2012."
I have to say It was really worth the money. It's fun, easy to get into, but also super complex since every character is basically two characters in one. I find that really cool and unique for a fighter and it makes it a lot of fun to play.
It's also really pretty looking and the music is fantastic. The story mode I really like, I prefer a story mode that's way too long than one that's too short. I wish SkullGirls had that kind of story mode.

Speaking of which, Labrys's story mode.

Labby-chan...I didn't know you were so hurt...

Her story legit made me shed a tear the first time I watched it. Even when I went back to watch it throughly just to study the story, I still felt dem feels. Those researchers are assholes.

Also, Snowy is Koromaru, maybe.

I was slightly below mediocre the last time I played P4:A, but I enjoyed it regardless.

Even more than with Skullgirls, the things I found to be my favorite in the game were all over the place: Naoto was my best character (this was actually my first and only Fighting Game where a zoning character was my main), Teddie had my favorite BGM, Labrys had my favorite story, and Yosuke was my favorite character overall.

I can't wait for the additional characters in the next update/version of the game. I haven't played Persona 3, so I don't know the characters, but not playing Persona 4 didn't stop me from liking the Persona 4 characters.

I really need to find a way to play Persona 4.

The game has such a good story mode that kept me wanting to do each character (even though I suck with half of them) though parts did feel the same just with different characters sequential wise. I mained Naoto because I usually main zoners and I really liked the Death Counter system with her since nobody expects me to pull Hamaon on them, then realizing that the counter went to zero. And Teddie just because I love his personality not to mention I love item drop characters though the fact that the items were in a specific order kinda bummed me out.

Sadly I got it for 360 and at that time the community was already dead, most of the time I couldn't find anyone playing so I ended up dropping it for BBCSE.

Yeah same here, it was lively for like a couple of months and just dropped dead. I was actually looking for a game that would of taken me away from BB for a bit and this was the perfect game, but it died quickly online -_-

I wish the controls and such weren't so... mixed up and random. Stuff like 2 button DPs and sweeps? That's just being silly.

It is weird, also the in game instructions aren't friendly to pad users. Once I got used to it it was really fun though.

I play Yu Narukami. Mainly cuz he has a footdive and is a really balanced character with good use or normal attacks and persona attacks. I also use Yukiko (THAT GODLIKE DIA BOI!), and Chie.

Also, Labrys' accent is precious and anyone who disagrees is a monster without a soul!

I dunno, I wouldn't call ANYTHING in Arena balanced.

2 button DPs....I'm a little mixed on those. I don't mind them, but whenever I get out of someone's mix up by doing it, I feel kinda scrubby just for the fact that its two buttons.

Sweeps are combo potential (sweep---> one more cancel or super that cancels, like Power Charge C---> begin air combo of sorts) and used to mix up the opponent when they get up (with Chie: combo into sweep, 5DD, jump over the opponent or Evasive action through them, commence attacking side by side with Tomoe for mix up hell).

I dunno, I wouldn't call Mitsuru in Arena balanced.

Fixed.

I wanted to main Akihiko because he is a BADASS MOTHERFUCKER WITH MANLY MUSCLES AND SHIT AND I CAN RELATE TO THAT. But he has only two Persona moves, no ranged capabilities, and I never really liked boxing characters. So I turned to Narukami because he's easy to use, has a ranged attack, and he's flexible.
But shoto characters are boring so I decided to go with the grappler of the bunch, Kanji. It worked out pretty well against this one fight I had against a friend and that was my first time using him in a versus match.

I like Yu mainly because he can work just as well without his persona. I can never get the feel of Kanji.
I also like Aigis and the Labby's... but I kinda like normal Labrys over shadow... mainly cuz I like her playstyle (even though its not as good as shadow labby's)

Fixed.
But Misturu got wrecked last EVO.

If you have it on PS3, when I get playable Internet, I'd like to play your Kanji. I get some kind of perverted pleasure from playing Kanjis with my Elizabeth. Most health versus least health is so fun for some reason.

Doesn't matter what character I'm playing, I would still lose to you. I'm the worst fighting game player in the world.
You wanna know how I can prove it? I didn't know characters have different amounts of health until you told me just now. Plus I haven't touched my PS3 in almost a month.

I think Elizabeth has the lowest
yeah Elizabeth's is the lowest. but if I'm not mistaken isnt she the Akuma of the game?

True. I've just heard of (and experienced) Mitsuru's long normals and exceptional zoning skills. Her DP is one of the best in the game too. As people play it more, the tiers will switch around and someone else will be on top. I predict Aigis, though she's pretty high already.

Sadness. Well whenever you get the urge, The Velvet Room welcomes you.

It feels so good to play her. I just wish she had a little more Health. It really pressures you not to make stupid mistakes.

Get wrecked by Megalodon son
That's a massive prehistoric shark. What is it in Persona?
I have no clue about this game anymore.

I feel your pain bro. Maybe some day the community will se the light and come back.

That would be spelled Megidolaon. It's her one hit KO (outside those Mahamaon and Mamudoon hypers no one uses).

Yu Narukami all day

Would still use him even though he is being toned down in P4C.

Also if the location test changes stick then Elizabeth should be a much more formidable character instead of being mediocre.
I bet Yu will still be a badass. I will force the power of Johnny Bosch to flow through me (its easier to do this since he autographed my copy of Persona 4 on PS2 and P4A on PS3)

I wish ArcSys and Atlus would just ignore canon and put Makoto Yuuki/Minato Arisato/Whatever in the next game as a multiple Persona user because why not.

Also his Instant Kill must be Armageddon or Great Seal.

But if he returns then Elizabeth won't be able to borrow his power. plus, he'd probably play too much like Yu. and considering Yu has the same power he'd have to stick to one persona as well. I think the rest of the P3 cast need to make a return, and maybe a couple from the original persona's can pop in from like another dimension or something.

I want to see Shinji as a fighter, but plot won't allow it :(

Adachi being a fighter is a bit more plausible.

Why would he play too much like Yu? He uses multiple weapons and Personas. They might be able to make him a stance character or something similar.

Since Elizabeth is using Thanatos I assume Makoto would use his other iconic Persona Orpheus since Yu/Aigis are wildcard Persona users too, but they are stuck with only Izanagi/Athena.

Last page's Ace Judge!Liz: I think Elizabeth would be a little too cuckoo to be respected as a judge unless she actually Megidolaons the court.

EDIT: And Orpheus Telos would come in for the Instant Kill, I assume?

Anyway, I've had the game for a couple of months now. My best character is probably Labrys, but don't take that as my having any sort of competitive skill at this game. Hoping that the update brings some actual moveset differences between the types, but I'll probably get it even if that doesn't happen.

I dont think it'd work well with the formula of the game. and again, Yu also has the power to change personas yet he solely uses Izanagi. it wouldn't make sense for one to do it and not the other. so he'd probably stick to Orpheus. And weapon changing would be too slow and the game thrives on being fast paced.

There's one major issue with P3 Protag playable though
That being that he's sealed to prevent Nyx from fucking our shit up.
The only way I can see him working is if he's a doppleganger like in The Answer.
And even then, that was supposedly a manifestation of the groups guilt, right?
