But Matador wasnt all -that- tough now that I think about it, I just went in without using buffs and watched em pick off my team members til he got the duel he wanted.

(Also im such a nerd for Nocturne I pained a jacket with hitoshura markings on it)

I barely survived the encounter with Matador on my first try. He WILL lay you out if you're unprepared, I'm sure.
 
Hell it took me a week of grinding before I remembered to use buffs, I grinded until I got Counter and then went in
 
It won't be translated...English only. I don't mind the digital only (except if they sell it full price) but one year for a non translated game ? Not cool

Presumably they will only do a portion of the actual soundtrack due to licensing issues with the music. This has been the case with every Atlus pre-order soundtrack for a long time now. I didn't own the original P3 so I don't know if that had a full OST.

P3's ost was okay, because it came with pretty much every important song.

Pretty sure all the p4 music besides the opening were done strictly by in-house Atlus people.

Shoji Meguro did the entire thing.

Lotus Juice wasn't really on P4, so I don't see why that would be a reason.
Even if he was, he didn't have a problem with his stuff being on the p3 ost that came with the game.

If I were given the Soundtrack Selection A, I would have been fine, but certain songs shouldn't be left out of your ost that comes with the game. Like the Final Battle music.
 
I'm assuming the soundtrack that gets pressed is licensed by a record label like Lantis or something, and if they own the rights they don't want sales of the game with the OST to cut into separate soundtrack sales.
 
So I got Devil Survivor Overclocked, and it leaves me with one big question.

But it hardly feels like one considering it's a ridiculous gimmick that's holding me back.

Couple tips: You should have the Marksman Auto-Skill by now. If you do, GIVE IT TO YOUR MC. Reliability definitely trumps strength in this fight. You should also give him anti-fire and curse skills along with demons that beat both to beat Lost Flame and Vampiric Mist, giving you the added bonus of avoiding the dreaded Petra Eyes from the mooks. Don't worry about your MC's physical strength--damage is based on level, not stats. Finally, don't try to wipe out all the mooks. Beldr will just re-summon them later on. Try to weaken them to the point where they can barely do anything, but don't kill them.

Oh, and just to prepare you for the gimmicks of the NEXT FEW BEL FIGHTS...

Belial--STOP KILLING THAT NPC AND GETTING THREE ATTACKS PER TURN
Jezebel--GET ME OUT OF THIS STUPID LAVA
Belzaboul--STOP SHOVING FLY EGGS DOWN MY THROAT
Belberith--LOWER THAT FREAKING PLATFORM AND GET THOSE ARIOCHS AWAY FROM MY PHYSICAL ATTACKER
 
I can relate to the Belial fight....this guy was a tough bastard with his Maragidyne/heal/attack. I had to spent 4 hours grinding and farming Macca so I could have demons with high Bufu skills and that can attack from two-three squares.

And since I decided to kick God's ass....I'm really afraid of the next fights against the remaining Bels....
 
Now it's time to hate Belial.

With his 3 attacks per turn and killing Haru.

Also I slipped up and got Gin killed.
 
Belberith was the one I had trouble with cause of his regen ability and I ran out of MP with MC, Atsuros magic users were killed and Midori....wasnt setup right to fight him. I won that fight cause Yuzu walked up and bitchslapped him into next week with Wind Dance, It was amazing

She killed him in one turn and a counter attack turn what took me 10 turns and Atsuro dying

Welp, now that I've reached Belberith upon deciding to become The Messiah...

In terms of difficulty, I'd say it's been Belial > Beldr > Jezebel > Belzaboul

I sorta killed Belzaboul before he really got time to act.
 
I'd only disagree with Belial being that high. Three actions per turn is annoying but his crippling weakness to Ice as well as his rather specific skillset make him much easier to deal with then, say, Beldr. If I had to rank the Bels from easiest to hardest:

Belzaboul: Amrita reduces Spawn to a minor annoyance, and Pierce+Aggravate completely wrecks the boss himself.
Jezebel: Get demons and skills that counter fire and just use Aggravate to turn the boss into mincemeat. The Amane clones don't really get to do much by the time they activate.
Belial: Mentioned above.
Beldr: Biggest wake-up call in the game, but manageable if you prepare for it. Healing demons suck though.
Belberith: Might be weak to Force, but hitting you from the other side of the map, twice per turn, and access to him being locked out unless you beat the Shomonkai or use a phaser make him a huge pain in the butt. Oh, and Arioch/Mithra combos rendering any phys attackers useless doesn't exactly help matters either.

Babel kinda stands outside since he's the final boss and all.

I think you forgot about Shinji and Strega. Also, pretty sure it was confirmed that P5 will take place in high school again.

I still think that Persona 4 would have been better if they had embraced the "crew of social outcasts" thing a bit more for the party

I mean, you can have Souji mouth off to his teacher and cut school, it's implied that Yosuke and Chie aren't exactly popular, people dislike/are afraid of approaching Yukiko, think Kanji is a thug, WE MISSED OUT ON SUKEBAN RISE FIGHTING WITH A CHAIN AND I'M SO MAD AT THAT, Teddie is Teddie, and Naoto doesn't like people all that much

but alas
 
the cast is still good.

and I don't want crazies for P5, just give me delinquents who are either misunderstood, or are in there because they didn't want to follow the rules. give us some black and white but don't be afraid to give those characters other colors that the world doesn't like seeing.
