NEEEECROOOOOOing this thread for a question: can I paint buttons (disassembling them properly and with the proper tools ofc) to costumize their color? I'm specifically talking about 14 Sanwa obsf-24 buttons and one obsf-30.

Is it possible or am I insane?
Shouldn't be too much of a problem. Take a look at the buttons and if the parts are not a 100% perfect fit already then it should be fine. You might experience some stiffness when you re-assemble them, but with use that should fix itself.
I don't know much about paints, but I imagine the stuff you can get in aerosol cans should work fine so long as you apply thing coat thinly enough (i.e. fold the can quite far away from the buttons when painting them).
EDIT: Also not sure about your specific buttons, but mine don't actually need any tools to disassemble. A thin screwdriver might help, but that's all I need for mine.
