Skullbats EU PC

Yay modding SG's soundtrack. Skullmod can be pretty fun.
No match in round 2 due to the opponent's internet problems.

So what was the consensus about this? I only experience eu skullbats through vods, but I always like the ft3 format more for this kind of thing.

For a visual aid when it came to trends in preferences, I started keeping a table for feedback summary it when I saw opinions were going in a few directions at once.

Haven't gotten replies from all recent Skullbats players/regulars we asked (and some we probably forgot to ask) just yet, and I'd want everyone's voice to be heard.
That said, so far it looks that the 7xFT3 experiment was received warmly.
Some players even entered yesterday after a long break because of the FT3 (though will they stay??).
All in all it seems 7xFT2 -> 7xFT3 is a change the majority of the community wants to keep at least for now.

It's also pretty fast, I won my game 3 vs LSP at summer jam by using Gregor to punish sniper cause I was too far away for anything else.

Since last week's experiment was met with positive feedback, we continued and will be continuing with the 7xFT3 format. Took slightly shorter today clocking at 1h45min (not counting signups) too, so yay!

FPS at times left something to be desired due to a tech issue solved post-event.

Tried out a pocket team this week.
Score-wise results as expected were mega weak, but it was refreshingly different + I noticed a couple things about some of my opponents that I didn't see there before.
Already got an inspiration for another experimental team for next non-finals Skullbats, too.

JoJy basically dropped the game a month ago and isn't interested in participating in Skullbats.
ath is unable to participate due to real life being a pain.
Rank of VIVr and JD was decided by an agreed upon tie-breaker (= comparing average number of wins & points per attended event).

Opened the new season with another experimental team. Score-wise results: terribad! More so than expected. Hmmm. Mental notes taken.
Observations were made, conclusions were drawn. Already got an idea for next week's team improving upon this one. Science, progress, fun~!

Here it goes. Man, week 4 was intense, I even got perfected(twice)


 
As planned, this week it was time to try out the Peacock/Bella/Beo team.
Did better than Bella/Beo, but probably worse than Peacock/Band/Beo, despite being more enjoyable.
What to do, what to do. Will yet figure out how to approach this conundrum.

Also as you likely noticed last evening, like every half year we adjusted Skullbats starting time due to the daylight saving time change.
Depending on your timezone, the event now starts at 7:00pm GMT / 8:00pm CET / 9:00pm EET / 10:00pm MSK.

What it means is that Skullbats will start as the same local hour it always did for most of Europe - save for our Russian brothers, for whom it now starts an hour later than for the past half year.

Twas a pretty strong comeback. The "is this the real life" was pretty real.
Needless to say, I didn't hesitate to make up for it in the remaining matches of the set either.

Got inspired for a new SkullModded OST, finished it just in time for Sunday.
No set in round 1 due to rolling a Bye on that one.
 
ath, Mr Peck and zeknife were tied for 1st in the season standing by total points; compared results thorough the season to determine ranks.

zeknife was first in all compared categories, making him 1st.
ath and Mr Peck were tied in average points per event; average/total are a stronger determinant than Buchholz tie-breaker, therefore making Mr Peck 2nd and ath 3rd.

That said, assuming no one turns out unavailable last minute, the seeded by rank bracket will look as follows:
