So, I was "inactive" but I was working on Skulldate! What's Skulldate? Well, it's a Skullgirls dating sim that not only I but a few people (if they want to write some of the charicter date story thingy's or help with some Knowlege of Ren Py they might have) will make. But here's some Q & A's to help you understand this stuff.
Q: Is this one of "those" games
A: No, No and Hell no. I'm not making that type of game and I never will be.

Q: Why a dating Sim?
A: Well We already have a RPG by @FunkyHellboy and a Annie Platformer with @Immaevilspacewhale and (Sorry I kinda forgot your name :( ), so why not do a dating sim?

Q: Will this turn out Super Cheesy
A: I will try my best not to make it super cheesy, I will rate your guys submissions for the character story you wanted. If it doesn't work out then I'm sorry. I don't want to upset you but I don't want to upset the people who want this.

Q:Who did you have in mind to write this?
A: Well after I saw @Shockdingo 's Brain Drain post on "Your own headcanon" I would love for him to write for the scripts for the Charicters!

Q: What about art?
A: Well we do have some artist that might help with the charicter art.

Q: Who's date-able?
A: *Sighs* Well it's kinda "unfinished" you see the characters are both female AND MALE characters. Here's the cast of the game (For now)

I've cut the roster since it would be easier to get the game done. I did put all characters that are in the game to be in it since it's only fair that way. But I kept some because of Waifu's and all that jazz

Q: Wow! Thats actually a lot of people
A: Yeah I know! Thats why I need a few people to help me

Q: I wanna help and I got a good script (Ok lets just play out like he does have one) how do I work on this
A: Only 3 things are required: A email acount, Ren Py *ITS FREE AND WILL BE FOREVER!*, and a guide on using Ren Py. I will send you the file (witch I can do on Gmail) and we can talk about things

Q: Will there be Public releases?
A: Yes, yes, AND YES! I will make copies for public releases and they will be out. So if you want one, just got to wait.

Q: I can't get X to work on Ren Py?!?!?!
A: This is the wrong thread to put that in, go use thier guide or look it up on the internet. I just saved you a angry look from a moderator there.

Q: So Is there a narrirator or is it narrarated by the main charicter?
A: There is a narrarator! So be weary of that... I don't want to have to change some of the diologe from a greenlighted submission because of a "Player Narriator deal"

Q: Will There be Voice Acting...???
A: Maybe... If somepeople are willing to do voices for the dateable charicters you can... It would be surprising to see someone like @Kimlinh Tran or @iamrichbrown wanting to this...


If anyone wants to share ideals here you can put them here instead of telling one member and then waiting for the ideal to be known by all of us.

FINALLY, Actually I was going to try to make one myself, Ive been using Ren py but i never used it for a serious project.

Im just glad that im not the only one that had this idea
 
Well, how about that.

I might be mildly interested in this because I like the characters in Skullgirls, and if it's faithful to their original depictions, then it might actually be pretty good. Heck, I might even be bothered to lend a hand...even if I don't know the first thing about romance.

If it has any impact on your decision regarding male characters...I ran the figures one day while bored in class, and—counting Fukua, Robo-Fortune, and Juju—there are 31 female characters in Skullgirls, more than twice the number of male characters at 14.
 
OMGGGGG. lol I cann't picture trying to charm Big Band. Wtf. Would he blush if I called him a saxy gentleman?

I don't think it should be done as a Dating Sim. I think it should be a Visual Novel. Similar to "Monster Girl Quest" or "Katawa Shoujo". (Just My Opinion)
Dating Sims is just all about getting with the girls. Visual Novels can have intense stories while focusing on relationships.

I can see Skulldate being similar to "Monster Girl Quest". In the game, Battles are turn based. the player starts with 3 energy. you gain energy by doing "normal attacks" but consume energy using "special attacks", the stronger the move the more energy required.

Looks like there's a reason they call you Mc.Rad. Also, strangely, for a second I imagined Avian as the playable character. That was pretty creepy.

Well I need a Acceptation Email with some dialog you choose to write I will ether reply with a yes or no based on how good your entry is. (Also don't even try to leak the secret characters until I announce them) *Yeah I'm kinda serious and I want to make it a secret*

Double: "Does this form make me look fat?"

o "What? Naaaaah..."
o "You're the most beautiful woman in the world <3"
---> "Wow, you're getting really good at shapeshifting! Your 'The Blob' impression is spot on! :D"

Actually I was going to make Double the most akward to date. With some choices like
*Talk about Decaying Corspes
*Go out and eat decaying corspes
*Realize what the hell your'e doing with your life

You take it out on a date. You get a set of choices, the movies, a resturant, or the library. If you pick library, it turns out to be a crazy library filled with ninja librarians who force you down and sew your mouth shut. If you go to a resturant, it turns out that the resturant owner is a slave trader and sells you into slavery. If you pick the movies then it turns out to be a regular movie theater, but you have to watch the Twilight trilogy.

If the player-character is female and they choose to talk to the Skull Heart and it isn't almost constantly trying to fool them into wishing for something, I'll be kind of disappointed.
