So, if you’re lucky, you’ve received an email inviting you to join the Skullgirls Mobile Closed Beta! This thread is to provide some high level information about the game, and to answer any questions that will no doubt pop-up along the way.

A few tips to help make sure you get the most of the Beta Build!
Equip your Special Moves!
There’s a bug currently where the Special Moves that are auto-equipped in the Tutorial (Battle Butt, Brass Knuckles, and George’s Day Out) are UNequipped once the tutorial sequence is over. Be sure to tap on your character cards (via Collection or Team Selection) to re-equip your Specials!
Use Story Mode to organically build your Collection
Completing fights in story mode earns you EXP for your characters and Relics that will help unlock additional characters and Special Moves. Although there are ways to quickly unlock/upgrade all of the characters (see below) we would love to get your “natural” feedback on how this progression feels in terms of gathering new characters and special moves, difficulty ramp up, etc.
This image below gives an overview of each of the available Modes in the current build:
In particular, once you have characters in the Level 8-10 range, we recommend checking out Events to experience some unique battle conditions that will cause you to rethink how you use your team!
Don’t have much time? Use Debug Relics!
If you go to the RELICS screen and scroll to the bottom, you can use special Beta-only Relics to unlock all Bronze Characters and ALL the Special Moves currently enabled for those characters.
Unlock More Abilities via SKILL TREES
Every character has a full Skill Tree that unlocks Blockbusters, Signature Abilities, and new moves you can use in combat (extended combos, Trip attacks, Charge Attacks, etc). The game plays very differently when you have your full compliment of moves and abilities!
We have yet to implement a full tutorial for this system, so it might be easy to miss! To access the Skill Tree, simply tap on a Character Card (from Match Preview or in your Collection) and then tap on the Skill Tree button.
If you need Skill Points (earned by Leveling Up or getting Duplicate Characters), you can either tap on the Character Level on the Details screen to automatically level them up or you can buy the FREE Beta-only Bronze Character relic in bulk on the RELICS screen.
If you need Canopy Coins you can also “buy” Beta-only Canopy Coin Relics on the RELICS screen to stock up!
Unlock Trip Attacks!
Trip Attacks (activated in gameplay by Swiping Down) are currently unlocked very early in every character's Skill Tree. That said, they are SUPER useful to help extend combos! We recommend unlocking them as soon as possible!
KNOWN ISSUES
A few known issues that will be fixed in future iterations of the build!
Android File Installation Interruption Issues
If your connection is interrupted while downloading the initial files for Android your download may not resume. Deleting the app and reinstalling it from scratch should fix this issue.
Tutorial is Breakable!
If you tap-spam at certain spots during the tutorial, you can enter some awkward, potential non-progression states. We’re ironing those out as we speak -- in the meantime, don’t do it! Please?
