It was gonna be just Central Florida, but rofl deadgame.

For the last month or so, I know Zero E. Lopez (fuckin' rereg already!) has been trying to get meetups going in Sanford. My excuse was that I was running the game on a desktop, but now that my laptop runs the game I can take a setup with me (although I'd need a lagless USB hub; I only have one port).

So, yeah. This is a wakeup call. East Coast is already the best at this game, but we can't let the north dominate us anymore. We have good players. I love GGPO, but I need more offline practice. Either we start hanging out at houses or we find a place to meet regularly.

I'm smack-dab in the middle of Orlando, right next to downtown. I have a smallish house but at least I can provide 2 setups if we play here (my desktop and my laptop), there's a shitload of parking, and I'm at the intersection of nearly every major highway so anybody can get here. Lopez, you're cool, but Sanford is very far away from Universal/Kissimmee/UCF/Disney/Downtown. I'd still like to go to your things, but I'd also like additional options.

For those of us greater than Orlando: We need tournaments. I'm okay with waiting for the PS3 release of More Different Edition, but once that hits we have no excuse. I will fucking help organize this. I will beg Jebailey for setups. I'll commentate the goddamn streams if we can get people. Let's fucking get awesome. We have a year of content upcoming for this game. It's finally maturing. If I have a few weeks to set aside gas or somebody to carpool with, I will go to tournaments in Jax, Daytona, or Tampa. Miami is still 4 hours away, though, so I don't know about that. Maybe if I had a place to crash down there.

I'm in Orlando! I live pretty close to the UCF area and I would love to actually go to so gaming sessions. I'm still pretty scrubby at the moment but I tend to do better actually playing face to face.

I have the PC version. I have both a PS3 stick and a Xbox Stick.
 
I live in Miami. No chance for me to meet up with any players up north. I think they run sessions of Skullgirls over at Flippers Arcade, but I haven't been there yet. :/

Hi guys. I live about 15 min from Flippers and im one of the few Skullgirls players. Unfortuntely, there has been only about 2 meetups there for Skullgirls and it was 3 ppl each time including me. Its mostly Marvel 3 with some IGAU and AE sprinkled in. They do have a wall of about 10 PCs but they are usually all taken since most ppl are playing league on there or something. Since the console version is still behind on the updates to PC, we would have to setup some on one of those PCs or bring a laptop.

Have the Xbox version and PC version. And my stick is dual modded.
I can hit up Orlando on the weekends, but it's like a 2 hour drive for me.

You got a man right here, I'm in Casselberry. Maybe 20-30 minutes away from downtown. I'd love to have a gathering of fellow local Skullgirls players. I only have 1 problem, I'm not very good. It would be nice though cause then I'd get to showcase some of the shirts I got off of EightySixed. I only have the pc version, I use an xbox fightstick. Follow up on this please, I'm intrigued.

For the record, I work from home, so I'm available nearly anytime although I rideshare (meaning I don't have the car before 5pm most weekdays).

I used to live in that area, right by Lake Underhill so I do know the area well. I could be at Fashion Square in 20 minutes or so depending on traffic. We should definitely try and start something up. I work nights at a 7-eleven mostly every other day and I get paid on Wednesday night/Thursday morning. I can't tell you what my schedule will look like next week though. as of the rest of this week I'm off tonight then I work 10pm to 6am tomorrow and 6pm to 10pm on Thursday but that's salty cupcakes so Thursdays I'd want to avoid. I might be able do something weekly in the daytime but people have stuff to do then. If you want to add me on steam Broken feel free to do so, maybe we could strike something up.
P.S. I just noticed that Casselberry is smack dab in the middle of Orlando and Sanford

O, also I have a car of my own. I could do a taxi service if some people aren't too far out of the way. I won't be doing a "Free" service though but don't expect taxi like fees. I'd probably only as a few dollars for gas.

Lol I don't work on weekends, so it's no worries. About 2 hour drive. I don't mind making it every weekend on like saturday.

I have an EVO monitor to bring to help with setups if we ever plan a meetup sometime. At the very least we should run weekly FL skullgirl lobbies on steam. Connection will be solid and we'll be playing with our local SG mates.

Who wouldn't? (besides non-Florida/Skullgirls players) I wouldn't have much to contribute to a setup though, My desktop isn't really good. I could provide bits of $ and transportation ⁽ᵃᶰᵈ ᶠʳᵉᵉ ʷᶦᶰˢ⁾ however.
 
This thread got pretty active since last time I checked which is pretty cool. It would be nice to see something getting started. I also joined the FB group although I'm rarely on Facebook so I might miss stuff posted on there.
 
Some of you fools are hard to find on Steam.

Venue suggestions! Let's start with houses! I have a tiny house with 2 cats and a dingo and a middle-aged black lady, but it's in a really good location with plenty of parking (and has an extra setup which isn't leaving anytime soon)! Anybody got anything better?
 
If we have like 4 or 5 people coming that should do right? If we get more people we could always canvas the area in search of a new venue. I wouldn't mind doing a small role-call kinda meet up, sort of like a meet and greet. I'm not sure if I'll get Friday or Saturday off but I might be able to make a daytime appearance. I doubt I'll be able to do anything Friday nights cause that's when we get shipments. But is anyone else up for a person to person meeting Friday or Saturday afternoon? We could meet up somewhere public like Fashion Square or a restaurant to discuss locations and times. If anyone wants to do this PM me on steam or something and I'll get you some contact info. P.s. I'm not a big fan of facebook. I'd honestly rather go through twitter, forums, and PMs.
 
Friday evening, I have to run a pair of errands at 5pm and 9pm. Saturday, I have to run a pair of errands at 1pm and 3:30pm. Saturday's probably a better bet for me all around, and I won't miss the Gaming Underground stream that way. Sunday is totally free for me, too.

Unfortunately I'm working at that time. Hopefully this is not a one time thing because I really want to try some local Skullgirls for once.
 
My schedule changes by the week. So I'm never really sure when I work. My schedule comes out on a Tuesday(sometimes Wednesday) so I'll know when I'm working next weekend on Tuesday.
 
What time do you finish up, Soulstar? I'm not really doing anything tomorrow evening.

Is anyone located near UCF that would be able to pick me up? I woke up to an apartment with no one in it :/ I was gonna have one of my roommates give me a ride. I'll be willing to give gas money, obviously.

Main campus, next time we plan a meet. I'm gonna post info on the ofgc, CEO, and skull girls fb groups to get a good amount of people to come and become regulars. And next time we have a meet, I should be able to use my sister's car so not having a ride won't be an issue again.
 
All right, lemme figure out with @PrettiestMedic what the fuck's going on this weekend, BECAUSE:

If the 240p+ Tournament finals are on Saturday, then I'll likely be spectating and commentating it while Peanuts streams it. This is fine. It's something else exciting happening.

If not, then business as usual, bring your shit, bring a setup if you like, PM or Steam me for an address. I'll say 4:30pm Saturday if the tournament isn't happening. If it IS, then TBA. Either way, I'll know what's up by tonight and keep you all posted.
 
Verdict: 4:30pm Saturday anyway; fuck it. Don't bring cheesecake. I'm lactose-intolerant and it disagrees.

If the tournament happens I'll commentate while everybody watches. Best of both worlds.
