Squigly Unblockable???

So while I was trolling around with Squigly, I found some pretty... Broken per say... tech.
The setup:
Do a hard knockdown such as charged arpeggio or like that 1 inch punch thingy. Then you do her singing super. Make sure you wait long enough so that when you do that little ball singing super, it is used as oki, and it doesnt combo. As soon as they get up, do daisy pusher. The game will read it as if the daisy pusher is hitting you first but at the same time, so is the ball. So what happens is, you get hit by the ball (the daisy pusher makes you go airborne a little, so you get hit by the ball 2-3 times) and then you suddenly go into the ground as if you get hit by daisy pusher. You get a free combo and if your a meter whore with squigly, you can set it back up again. They cannot jump because the ball is locking them down, and the only way I see getting out of this is reversal super. But squigly can space the daisy pusher so that if your super isnt far reach, she can still catch you with daisy or the ball super. She can also just sit there and bait your reversal super. You HAVE to reversal super in order to get out of this. If you just dp, you will get caught.

P.S: I am currently working on and testing to see if I can just do this with an assist instead of the ball as oki. It would be more viable if I could do it for one bar!
 
Do you have any recording software so that we could get a good look at what you're describing? I would do it myself as this does sound interesting but hey, no Mac port or console patch (yet).
 
Just tested you can set this up with hairball assist

Isn't this basically the attack + throw same frame thing? Just Squigs can set it up by herself... interesting. There goes the Painwheel matchup.
 
Can you not hard tag or block-> alpha counter?
I guess the daisy pusher would land before the ball super would though so I guess you can't ac.
 
You find this when I can't play to test it! Arrg! Also need to test all escape options.

Or are you saying that she can combo into Daisy Pusher, because getting hit by the Note should count as hit stun (stand into the note)? If it combos, this is really something you should have kept secret, imo.

I mean, sure they can't up-back but hit/block stun should negate this anyway.

Why don't they go into blockstun from the sing super and not have to worry about Daisy Pusher or is there something I've missed?

I think the point is that it SHOULD work like this, but it doesn't.

Yeah its weird, thats what you would think, but doesn't work the way you want it.
Hard tag, reversal super, alpha counter into invincible assist, etc...

It doesnt. And yes, you get a full combo from this too lol. You would get hit by the note, and then fall into the daisy pusher, its crazy.

This is different because it's an actual unblockable.
You can't block the meaty hitbox and be safe from the daisy pusher, but you can get hit by the meaty and avoid the daisy pusher. Either way you get hit.

You can do something similar with command throws (bella/valentine/etc.), but it's much more difficult to time it because you need the attack box to happen 1-2 frames after the throw box or else the defender can jump it. However, this can still be reversaled.

So, I guess it's not all that different from attack + throw, it's just squigly's is really easy to do.

Only option is to reversal or tag (which is also a reversal). You can't Stunt Double because you aren't able to block anything.

@SonicFox5000 This will work with anything that will meaty the opponent, I just did hairball because it was the first thing I thought of that was active for a long time.

I have a video of a cerebella unblockable coming also.

So, what you're saying is you can combo into Daisy Pusher without stagger? Or better question, what's to stop the opponent from just taking the hit, reacting to the Daisy Pusher and using a reversal as soon as they leave hit/block stun? Because I doubt you can just get put into hit/block stun and have no option after leaving it but to take the grab, and Daisy Pusher doesn't really recover fast enough to capitalize on the hit anyway.

But yeah, if you can just take the hit, then reversal out I don't see it being as good as Hit + Command grab wake-up from Bella.

A few things:
- It will get fixed, but since the PS3 build is already submitted I won't be fixing this for the rest of this iteration of console builds at least (360 and other region PS3).
- Because they don't ground tech, undizzy is not reset, so even if they don't escape you are limited in your options or reps. Daisy scales the following combo by 50%, and assist starters scale it by 65%.
- Since you need to have done Daisy before they reach standing, reversals against this are really easy. That doesn't make it not good, but it's something.

Can you set up, like, hornet bomber or brass knuckles or hp lnl to protect yourself from reversals?
 
Oh, you have to Daisy Pusher before they even rise? Well, I only see this being useful if the opponent has no meter, then. Unless you can just tag in reaction, which makes this very limited.
 
Also, this kinda reminds me of how showstopper is unblockable after the dhc super flash. I found out when I was trying to see if mid orb into showstopper would keep you safe if they jumped, but it turned out they couldn't.

Right, because then they can't just super on reaction? I guess if the opponent has a crappy super or no meter and no access to a good tag, then yeah.

Mmmm... dont they? Some invincible for shorter periods than others, but im pretty sure every character has at least one invincible super (dont remember if Lenny or Install is invincible, but every other one I think is for one frame or another, not counting armor ones)
