it's a shame that the second message in this thread is unfortunately to mention the death of the actor who played one of the most iconic of all Star Trek characters.

RIP Leonard Nimoy. you will be missed by many.

Man, it's never easy to say goodbye to these legendary entertainers, but there's no doubt that he lived a long and prosperous life. Godspeed Mr. Nimoy.

It's also too bad that this thread's been so overlooked. I just recently discovered Star Trek Continues and it reminded me of how long it's been since I watched new Star Trek episodes on television. My brother and I grew up watching Star Trek almost every night, so it's still weird to be reminded that there isn't a new series running these days. While I wasn't quite as big a fan as my bro (I fell off a bit during Voyager), I still enjoyed the show lot, and it's always fun when we try marathoning a series over a weekend.

The show's also had a profound impact on people over the years. At every Star Trek panel, you're guaranteed to hear dozens of testimonials from people that were inspired by Star Trek to become actual scientists ans engineers. Leonard and the rest of the crew definitely have a lot to be proud of!

How about the comic Book event going on as a Side Story to the Green Lantern Spectrum War.

Hal Jordan is in the Star Trek Universe, Yellow Rings are seeking out Klingons, and we have Blue Lantern Scotty and Star Sapphire Uhura onboard the Enterprize that Hal is having to power though space right now.

And it's only comic 2 of 6!
