Steam Controller Help

I'm trying to get my Steam Controller to work, but I'm getting stuck on selecting controls for the players, it's only letting me assign Keyboard 1 and not letting me go down to controller. Any solutions?

I'm not really sure what you mean.

When you plug it in, any steam game with full controller support will read the steam controller as an Xbox controller (tested with SG). This works regardless of if you use the Big Picture mode, but I've found that the Steam Controller generally won't work properly unless it's with the Big Picture mode.

It doesn't even register as a controller on my PC, it shows up as a keyboard and mouse and I can't even assign keys to the buttons with Xpadder.
