I'm sorry if I'm not fully following the rules here not being this tournament's organizer, but I'm posting this here for a reason.
While Skullgirls is at this tournament, there is no pre-registration for it, and you have to register at the door.
I emailed the tournament organizer the following message.

I'm just wondering why there is no pre-registration or rules list for Skullgirls on your site, with it being in your list of games, and also why it is not in your stream schedule.

In response, I got this message
It's a side tournament.

SG is sign at the door game never get more than 12 players sorry.

So, now for the reasons I'm posting this here.

1. No body else has, so I don't know how many people KNOW about this tournament.
2. I want us to blow them out of the water with entrants so that next year Skullgirls is not just a side tournament.

This isn't even true. Skullgirls got like 30 entrants at NEC. I'm sort of close to just saying fuck all Big E tournaments forever. Like I get Skullgirls is never going to be the biggest game anywhere, but I feel particularly unwelcome at Big E run tournaments.

Wouldn't the organizers have the attendance numbers of past events? Seems like whoever answered is being a dick for no reason which sadly they do represent Big E Gaming.

Don't know why it isn't on the pre reg list. Does it cost extra for each game they pre reg for? They got three free tournaments there before Skullgirls (I understand that they're special cases apparently, but still). And of course NBA 2k14 and Pokemon. Which I'm not knocking as games or even their legitimate status as competitive games, but they aren't fighting games. And this kinda seems like a heavily fighting game themed event. I mean, NBA isn't even listed on the front page as an official game, whereas "Skull Girls" is.

I had no idea this was going on, and I would have been prepared for it by now if I had known. Not quite sure if I could even make it, even if I really wanted to go out of my way to make it despite frankly feeling disrespected. I could understand if it was just that we get no stream time, but no pre reg and having a Big E rep talk like that to you, that's too much for me to be okay with.

Man, honestly, I'm just glad he replied and that I wasn't just left in the dark completely.
But at this rate I'm really thinking of organizing my own tournament if I ever get the money to.

Nah, whoever can show up and have a great time and tourney. They gave space for Skullgirls side tourney, use it up. Record the matches (maybe even find someone willing to bring streaming equipment) and put on a good show. Maybe there'll be good turnout and they won't forget more than 12 showed up to SJ for SG.

I mean it's kind of been established that when we get a good turnout they don't notice or care.
 
So you really emailed Big E and someone else replied back? This is very unusual. Big E has a reputation of bending over backwards to help people out if they ask.

I was recently listening to Larry ShinBlanka's explanation of how Pre-registration benefits TOs and players since it speeds up bracket setups and saves players money. If the game's on the list, there should be no reason why pre-registration is not allowed, and it would be really unusual for Big E to make this call. LI Joe maybe, but not Big E.
 
I didn't really want to put him on blast, but yes Big E was the one I emailed and received the reply from.
 
If anyone's interested, can someone get me numbers from the last 3-4 East Coast majors? NEC, Winterbrawl, ECT and Final Round are the ones I'm interested in. I want to see if I can appeal to Big E to allow SG pre-registration. If Love Max can get pre-registration, there's no reason SG can't.

Worst he can say is no for a second time.

NEC got 28, Winter Brawl got 10, and ECT got 20. Don't know about Final Round.

Hopefully in the future his attitude changes. It's too late for Summer Jam, it's like two weeks away, but getting pre-reg for all future events where we are on the front page seems like it's pretty reasonable.
 
Technically preregistration is open until the 22nd, but yeah, we'll just have to see what kind of numbers Summer Jam gets at this point.

Hey I play online on ps3 alot so I don't get to play people on steam. I want to know if anyone has any plans about room sessions or anything like that it would be great to meet everyone in person.
 
Due to having a bunch of people flake on me. I won't be able to attend Summer Jam :/

So if anyone is willing to run the SG tournament, please do. Sorry for such short notice but thats just how it is sometimes. I'm really sorry guys but I hope someone can run it for you all.

I'll make it up to everyone by making NEC literally "the shit"
