Whether you're new to forums or fighting games entirely, this is a great place to start looking for matches against people with a similar skill level.
Just drop off some of the details requested below!

Don't forget to take a look through what's already been posted by others recently and add some new friends!

- Try and drop off a direct link to your steam profile, as sometimes searching for 'John' is not enough information.

- If you don't know your time zone, don't sweat it. It can be helpful for understanding what times of the day a person will be most active.

Currently am playing Beowulf, Squigly, Big Band, and experimenting a bit with other characters (Peacock, Filia, Parasoul).
My goal is to get to the point where I usually don't have to worry about pressing the wrong attack button in a combo or something, and also get experience against actual people, which is something I don't have much of.

I tend to play online at late hours during weekends, from over 1 AM till like 5 or 6 AM.

I just got into the game and still getting used to it so far. I love it. I use a Hori Fighting Stick mini 3 (not the best I know but sometime in the future will save up to buy a better fight stick with Sanwa buttons.)

School has ended but I have Marching Band, and may have a part time job in the Summer so hmm. Well first (UTC-05:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada). I'm usually free around the afternoon, maybe earlier. So like 1PM or 2PM to 10:00PM+ in the afternoon into evening.

Hi everybody. I'm eightbitsamurai, 8bit for short.

I play all types of games except for fighting games, and I figured Skullgirls would be a good place to start. 2nd Encore is downloading on my PS4 as we speak.

My PSN ID is LucasSmash (I know and I'm sorry, I was like 13 and I really liked Mother 3)

I'm mountain time, Colorado US, and am pretty much available any time during this summer, and more so in the evenings and on weekends when school kicks up in August.

I have 0% experience in fighting games...soooo let's practice and get better together! And expect me to lurk a lot and be confused until I understand things more.

I wouldn't say I'm a complete beginner, but I'm still quite far from intermediate, it's only until recently that I started to play more due to purchasing a PS3 stick, since my wrist got pained when using PS3 or PS4 controllers.
I play Skullgirls 2nd Encore on a PS4, I was quite drawn to this game precisely because it didn't require me to buy another stick.

I'm in Panama, EST and I like to play from 2 PM to 10 PM, in no particular schedule.
On Fridays and Saturdays I play less, and I keep the 2 PM to 10 PM playtime on Sunday.
I got the game just two weeks ago fresh from a hand injury, so I only got as far as completing the tutorial and character introductions.
I have played Super Smash Bros with a decent Kirby, a not so good Sheik in Super Smash Bros Melee, a bad Vermilion Akiha in Melty Blood Act Cadenza,a terrible Roa in Melty Blood Actress Again and a decent zoner Akihiko in Persona 4 arena ultimax.
In this game I wanted to try out Fukua since I was interested in learning how to use her shadows but I find Robo Fortune much more entertaining, I haven't really decided my two person team yet.
I want to get decent enough to enjoy this game before Black Dahlia arrives as DLC, which is likely far off, but I want to main her as soon as she arrives, so I need to be ready with some adequate execution skills.
Where I live, a small town in Panama that is 3 or so hours apart from the capital city, is infamous for the horrid internet, since the providers are not efficient.
So I am stuck with bad internet, which on the plus side, does not go away too much, stable but slow.
Despite the terrible internet, I want to enjoy Skullgirls, since it is a fighting game with interesting lore, engaging characters and pays much attention to little convenient details.
 
Hey there, newbie here on PC. BowlSoldier is my name for this fighting game.

I am completely new to fighting games, and hope to learn something from being beaten by the other people in this thread. I've managed so far to somewhat reliably beat the Normal AI with one character. That's a big achievement for me so far. I'm sure before too long I'll have no trouble beating a predictable computer.

I've been trying a few of the characters and find myself liking Ms. Fortune a lot, with a secondary liking for Fukua and Big Band.

Hey everyone, Jet here. I've played numerous fighting games before but only very casually, meaning that I by means a 'good' player. In fact I'm noticeably (if you choose to add and play me) quite rubbish if Im honest. I'm a sucker when comes to games with a very good, fresh and unique art style and Skullgirls comes under those personal preferences quite well so I decided to jump into the game. Let me premise this now once again, I pretty much am a novice/beginner/noob when it comes to the fighting game genre, but I do however still enjoy playing them a lot.

Anyway, enough of the long but somehow brief intro (I guess...). I play Skullgirls Second Encore on console (PS4) so feel free to hit me up a message or a friend request. I believe that playing with people is the best way to get better and also have some plain ass fun :)

If Smash is the only fighter you've played before then as well as finding some beginners to play with I'd also suggest trying to find a somewhat experienced player to regularly play with as well - there are some important concepts in 'traditional' 2D fighters or whatever you want to call them that another beginner might not know about or teach you.

I'm from Ohio in the middle of nowhere; Eastern Standard Time. Since my internet is god awful I am forced to play late at night, form 11 PM to probably around 1 AM. I only stay up late a few times a week though, so I'll be on probably every weekend and on Fridays, maybe even on a weekday. I dunno, just message me and I'll stay up and play.

I used to play with a controller so I did main Val and BB. But I just got this fightstick and for some reason I cannot get Val down ATM. So just solo BB.

I want to get good at this game. I would say I'm probably past a newbie but I'm not really intermediate. Low intermediate? And also, my internet is really bad. 1000+ ms of ping during the day. Usually at night it's about 100-300 so I'm sorry for the lag. I'm not looking for glory. I only want to better myself.

I hope to get to quite a high level of player on SG, I've played most fighting games over the years but my main game is USF4 as I've been playing the SF4 series for at least 5 years.

I live in the EST. Since I'm still on summer break for another month I'll be available to play anytime so it'll be sorta random when I'm actually on. When school starts up, it'll be mostly evening, like 9pm - 11 pm, just to fit it into my day.

Characters played: Gonna work real hard at learning Fukua. I'm pretty much a novice when it comes to Skullgirls and traditional fighting games so I'm not gonna be that great in the beginning.
Goals: I'm mainly looking to just find people to play with. While I don't mind playing against people better than me to improve, I'm looking more to have fun with gradual improvement so at first I'd love to play with people around my level to just have fun.

It'll help if you give a rough indication of where you live - fighting games require a good internet connection between both players, so you'll be more likely to get people to play if they're near you.
