Anyone want to play Melty this weekend? I'd like to get a few hours in.

That's not a really high bar to set is it?
 
Would be cool if it were somehow compatible with the other, free version, but i doubt that's the case
 
I'd love for them to implement rollback. I know Shini confirmed no CCCaster, but I heard rumors months ago that they had contacted someone that had something to do with rollback... just hoping that means they integrated it or something. I really don't know that I'll buy it without rollback.

Buying a game that never had good netcode is one thing... but buying a game that did have it and chose for some reason not to use it... that's another.
 
I'll probably get it so I can understand everyhting that's going on, and I can use it actually get my friends into it.
 
I'm just not sure if I care enough about space vampires to play through the story. That will be the big decider as to whether or not I pick it up without rollback.
 
I keep seeing Saber from Fate in fanart with Melty Blood characters.

am i to assume Saber is a character in this franchise?
 
Wait, why would you assume that Saber is a char based on fanart?
They're just both products of Type-Moon.
 
Fate/stay Night (the franchise Saber is from) and Tsukihime (which Melty Blood is a spinoff of) take place in the same universe, but are otherwise pretty unrelated.
 
and on a slightly related note, Ryougi Shiki is another Type-Moon Crossover from Kara no Kyoukai in which apparently she's a crazy assassin who literally has no place in the story other than to be a cameo (as far as I know, anyway). There needs to be an updated supercrossover or something, would love to play Saber in a fighting game too.

Yes I am well aware of CCaster.
Mad Scientist is working with Acysys to rewrite their netcode with rollback.

Anyway, that's awesome. I really hope ArcSys uses that as a base going forward for everything, if not also using it to retrofit the older games too. I will be waiting on this for my purchase, though.

I'm hoping the community can be overwhelmingly loud about enjoying it so that they implement it for Steam Uniel[st] when it arrives.
