The Mortal Kombat Thread

Krushing Blows are more the visual aspect of the X-rays (Zoom-ins of broken bones to make you cringe in pain), while the Fatal Blows are more Desperation Super Moves with some elements of X-rays, not necessary but still the big showstopper moves.
 
Is it just me or does this look really boring?

I dunno man, MKX's violence hit me like a truck. The characters here look like they're made out of play-doh.
 
You also only get one Fatal per match
not per round
per MATCH
gotta ration that shit out
good news is that if you whiff it or it was blocked, it will come back on a cooldown timer

Kronika was confirmed to not be playable.

Kano was revealed.

And yeah, the casts got delayed. I live in the area, and it was actually colder than parts of the Antarctic. It was even colder than some parts OF MARS.

They had to light Chicago's train tracks on fire to prevent the controls from freezing. The delay was legit.

Some people thought it was dumb. I, living in that area, can assure the people that think this was a dumb decision that it was not. This was done because it was literally lethally cold outside.

Several people died.

It stunk.

I'm fine with Final Bosses not being playable, it's why people thought Shao Kahn was the fucking coolest, he was too strong and cool to play.
It also means they can go batshit crazy with the moveset and give them crazy cool stuff, like how Brainiac as a Final Boss in Injustice 2 didn't really do any cool shit besides having the ships tentacles attack you, they don't have to worry about balancing them
 
I will gladly take only Cassie returning from the Kombat Kids if it means we get the Outland Trio, Ferra/Torr can sit this one out so she can return in the next game as NewCharacter/Ferra.
Just say the other 3 Kombat Kids got injured during the last game and are recovering, leaving only Cassie to deal with the timeline bullshit.

A part of me really doubts that Cassie will be the only one.

Takeda was one of the most played characters in X, and Kung Jin has become a symbol for the LGBT community. I definately think one (or both) are in.

Mostly Kung, because 1. With Young Lao in the picture, he has more of a story reason to be here, and 2. Jacqui and Takeda were seriously injured in X.

People have also pointed out that Jac could stand for Jackson Briggs.
 
I would fully expect them to write JAX then but I guess there is a chance. Would definitely be preferable over Jacqui IMO.
 
I'm liking that list, Kotal Kahn AND Frost? Sure, why the shit not.
I'm a longtime MK fan so I'm trying to decode TER, CET, and KOL.
Realistically, they could be brand new characters, but hm...
Looking over the list, either they're code names or they're anagrams 'cuz none of them matched up.
 
So, apparently, there was some leak that mentioned a character by the name of “Kollector”.

This predated the datamine, and said leak said that one of the “newcomers” would be an older one in a newer form, kinda like Noob Saibot or Cyber Smoke.

So, right now, people think Kollector might be Shang Tsung or Noob.
 
Yeah, her being connected to Kronika seems all but confirmed at this point.
 
That fatality is a reference to an old glitch, in MK 1 if you were fast enough, Johnny Cage could punch your head off three times, was brought back as an easter egg in MK 2.
He looks great and I'm glad he's still here
 
I still find it amazing that johnny turned into pretty much the best character in the past 3 games. Just in terms of design and character progression.
 
Yet ANOTHER character leak for MK11. With some new faces compared to the previous one.

There's also some rumors about Mileena, Shang Tsung and Shinnok being in the game but as "unlockable".

There was a post a week ago giving this entire list + mentioning those 3 as such.
