Double Peacock
So, I've read on the forums this would help me become less of a scrub, so...I hope I'm doing this right.

My main team is Peacock and Double. I'm thinking about adding Miss Fortune or Squigly but I need to practice with them a bit more first.

Things I know already I need to get better at are:

Defense- There are numerous times I found myself performing an ill-timed block and I end up a reset with no end (though I do manage to block some moments of reset, I'm usually knocked back into it :T). My worst matches tend to be with any team with Parasoul, Big Band, and Painwheel. Overheads with these characters usually mess me up, especially when I block one way during the start of an overhead and it changes direction to the back of my character.

Peacock- I honestly know like half one potential combo, but I feel like my zoning game sucks and I cannot keep up a good keep away. If my opponent gets close, basically means death for Peacock with no chance of recovery. Possibly related to figuring out better times to use Hole Idea?

Double- I feel I'm an average scrub when it comes to using her, so she's essentially the teams ringer(though that may be a bad thing? idk). With Double, I feel I need to work on learning/using proper mix-ups for her. I also would like to get a better handle on her Barrel Combo.

General- I feel like I could be a bit more patient when it comes to punishing while I'm stuck blocking, though I do get nervous about chip damage.
Wish, I could add a paragraph here about the other things I'm having trouble with but I can think about them at the moment.

YOU ARE A LIAR!

But I'm not salty, I'm looking to cause the salt
Sounds like words of some poor salty bastard looking to share the wealth his overstocked salt mines.

Though in all seriousness, it would help to see a vid of one of you playing a set against someone. From what you have written, it sounds like you need to improve in a lot of things, especially your peacock. Learn a combo that resets the situation to fullscreen. Or if your current combo already does that, practice until you have it down to muscle memory. Damage isn't important when starting out, consistency is key.

Blocking isn't all about waiting for them to do something unsafe. It's essentially just trying to deny the opponent that full damage combo. Good opponents will keep their blocked attack strings safe, and sometimes bait you into something you think was punishable. It's important to pushblock to mitigate pressure and to know your options to escape pressure.

Also don't worry about chip damage. Chip damage is much better than you eating a full combo. The only time where chip damage is a factor is if your health is in the range where you can die from chip.

Check out this thread on defense if you haven't:

I don't play double or peacock so I can't specifically help you character-wise, but have fun and play to learn. By that I mean play with your weakest character on point (or solo if you choose), experiment with your assists, and try to figure out what works and what doesn't in every match up.

TLDR: Need videos of your play

Here's some video as requested
Sorry, it's just four quick matches

I'm no expert or anything but from that video i would recommend you to try and not mash so many buttons, relax and practice blocking and pushblock guard cancels. If you feel like mashing buttons is the way to go, then mash Bang!(M), Hornet Bomber(L) or stuff like that.

When in neutral with peacock try doing j.HP, dash, j.HP. that will give you much more ground than super jumping so you can build your wall with her projectiles, also i didn't see you use any assist at all, you could use Hornet Bomber (H) for easier spacing and zoning or Hornet Bomber(L) if you still have trouble with rushdown characters (both amazing assists imo) and don't waste bars on random Lonesome Lennys, specially since you can avoid raw tagging so much by building enough bar to bring Double in with Cat Heads.

I find Double not as simple to learn as other characters but her Lugar Replica (all of them) are very good tools, if you hit someone with the (H) one out of the air you can OTG them into a full combo and in this game jump ins are pretty common.

Hopefully you'll find any of this helpful and sorry about my english, it's not my first language and sometimes i find it difficult to express myself. Keep it up man.

Digital Devil vs SuperSubZero95

Things I noticed while I was playing:
Double is definitely the stronger part of my group since I can pull off combos relatively easily but this puts her in awkward position if Peacock is destroyed. My main issue with Peacock is..I can't seem to get fast inputs out, for instance, I can't go from a pushblock to an Airshow George. It seems the same way with using bombs and trying to use Shadow of Impending Doom to keep an opponent away. Probably cause I use gamepad opposed to Stick. And because of my weak peacock game in assists without worrying about having them both caught in something. I should really learn a BB for Peacock, cause I'm feeling to reliant on a keep away strategy with no real plan B. I also notice, I'm never quick enough to take advantage of a stunned opponent maybe it's because I expected them to block it most of the time.

Still a long ways from gitting gud as the FGC says
