tripping and the shit behind the scenes in melee both suck though.

Tripping is BS though, I've always thought that.

but sometimes when you trip you can start tasting colors and hearing smells
but I guess that's still bad tripping, depending on who you ask

That's too bad. if you don't like it you can go play Melee, but wait! Melee doesnt have the characters you like playing. guess you'll just have to deal with it."

Ever heard of jumping? You can't trip in mid air.
 
Smash doesn't have instakill everything yet. Unless you count Super Sudden Death,, but that's not the default mode of play, so nobody will ever play it that way.
 
I hope tonight's PotD is something good.

Cause like, Monday's I usually feel like staying up for them, and I don't want to stay up for Luigi's Nose.

On the one hand, we haven't had a "useless" picture for a long time now, but on the other... it means we're due for one.

The wording "And I, Meta Knight am joining the battle" is pretty much a confirmation, but who knows?
At least he's being fucking acknowledged, like goddamn.
 
I'm pretty sure that this is confirmation that most relevant hats from Mii plaza are in. Things like character hats and some of the more generic/impressive ones ones, like top hats and the like. Unfortunately things like the tomato hat and the such probably won't be available, which stinks I was looking forward for Moai hat man to take stage

Someone pointed out to me that Samiis has a Z-Saber/Protoman.exe's sword from the look of it. Neato.

Though we already know that the selected "Body" type changes the weapon's design.
 
Wouldn't Jigglypuff be as well? The air dominance would wreck him

edit: Apparently it's the 12th now in Japan, so Corocoro will be coming out with some Smash info. Don't expect anything NEW, but we could get some more custom moves or something.

but jigglypuff has the same air mobility as Kirby though. So it's not meant to be amazing and quick, meyaknight seems like he'd be the opposite.

No he really doesn't. Kirby's is vertically based while Jigglypuff's is horizontally advantaged. That's why Jiggly is top tier in melee; Jiggz can move an awesome amount of horizontal distance to set up and combo with. Jiggz wall of pain is significantly more dangerous than kirby's as a result.
 
ah, I see. I kinda hope that if metaknight is actually confirmed they rework the hell out of him. Because even if you weren't playing competitively, playing against metaknight wasn't all that great.
 
I feel that because you can't cancel out of hitstun like in brawl, Meta Knight's survivability in Sm4sh will be CONSIDERABLY lower even if they kept his weight the same. And the new ledge grabbing mechanics will take an advantage away from Meta Knight's arsenal.

But you're right, when ALL of his aerials are 1. insanely fast 2. incredibly low landing lag 3. spammable to all hell 4. have decent knowckback, it's a little bit overkill. And that doesn't even include his tornado and disgusting downsmash.
