you know i probably should've expected that when i came to revive this thread for wrestlemania star symbol that we'd be in an even worse position of the wwe than a year ago
Its why I wholeheartly abandoned the E (minus New Day) for Lucha Underground.
Well SmackDown was something last night. I'm not sure what that thing was but it was a thing.
Also I'm surprised no one talked about this year's WrestleMania. To me it was decent although Triple H could have done without a fancy entrance this year. Mostly because well...
This was a thing. It's like last year except without the cool Terminator part. And the whole Triple H looking like a grumpy toy thing.
Or Extreme Rules. That Asylum match was good if not a bit slow whenever someone picked up a weapon. Also I do not envy Jericho. Poor guy got 68 thumbtacks stuck in him. Ouch.
Also there's gonna be a brand split coming July 19th I believe and I see some potential in it. It's been while after all. And SmackDown is now going live and on Tuesday. That's something I have a bit of an issue with. I mean you're airing one wrestling show the day after the other. Isn't that going to get a bit tiring? I mean as a fan I kinda think that doing that would eventually tire the fans out instead of building hype. At least I assumed what the two day (used to be three!) break was for. To y'know, give everyone a break.
Anyways, maybe the brand split will do some good. And this could give some newcomers to the roster some time to shine.
We are currently in the lull of post-WWE: NXT: Takeover Brooklyn II: The Revenge sponsored by Jolly Rancher, and pre Viper-Ville-Slam. Last nights card was:
Austin Aries d. No Way Jose
Ember Moon d. Bllie Kay
Bobby Roode d. Andrade Almas
The Revival d. Johnny Gargano and Tomasso Ciampa to retain the NXT Tag Team Championship
Asuka d. Bayley to retain the NXT Women's Championship
Nakamura d. Samoa Joe to become the new NXT Champion
Pretty amazing night, I honestly don't think that there was a bad match on the entire card. Summer Slam has a lot to live up to, because last night's show was magic.
