It isn't just over the weekend. It is probably going to take something like half to a whole week to finish it if people have issues. You have 24 hours to get a match done once both parties have finished their previous match.
 
Lol, according to those brackets I got OmniSScythe in the first round. I'mma get bodied. Then again, I've never really played against someone that good, should be fun. Good expirence you know, a point of reference for what I'll have to go against if I ever want to be really good at this game.

@destruction_adv I feel ya there. I'm playing KhaosMuffins in the first round. My goal is to hit him once before I lose. Maybe twice.

I don't really think I can, but I'mma at least try to win. I mean come on, it's pretty awesome to be able to play against people you've only watched play on streams and stuff. I'mma go get to the lab and get some matches practice some after I'm done with whatever I got to do tommorow. I'm excited about this.

PLEASE UNDERSTAND. THESE BRACKETS ARE NOT RIGHT. THAT IS AN OUTLINE FOR THEM. THEY WILL BE SHUFFLED. MULTIPLE TIMES.
 
58 paricipants so far according to the bracket. Not too shabby.
 
I'm going to have to withdraw from the tournament or if the brackets have already been made, take a DQ since I won't be able to play this weekend. Good luck to everybody else!

Nevermind! Slayertera says that the tournament will run longer than just this coming weekend. Phew, I'm so glad I can still participate!

Whoa fastturtle. I'm happy your DQ'ing yourself since you're pretty legit and all, but the tournament will probably run a week to possibly two if there are a lot of problems between matches. Don't count yourself out just yet man!
 
Oh, yeah, the OP has probably changed a bit since the first time you read it, so be sure to read through it again with all the updates. That goes for all of you. Reading might be boring, but so is typing. lol

Yo get that looked at. Your arms not supposed to fall asleep while its doing something. Unless youre typing at a desk, where the edge is really sharp, and your arm was on that cutting off blood flow. Then thats fine. That used to happen to me on counter strike sometimes.

So it is now Wednesday. Can we please have an layout as to what the plan is come Friday? Is everyone meeting at a specific time to fight? Are we doing our first fight and then waiting for the next? How do we report our results? When will the brackets update with said fight results? When are the brackets going to be final, so we know who our opponent is? What time block should everyone schedule in order to participate this weekend (ie start time? duration? days?)? If at all possible, I'd rather not burn an entire day waiting around for my next fight; however, I would assume not everyone is going to be online all the time, all weekend. I know the TO's are working really hard to organize this to the best of their abilities, but there really needs to be some structure to this before Friday hits.

I suppose the tl;dr is "What's the plan?" :)

I assure you, the TOs are not working hard at all. We are quite lazy.
ANYWAY, your answers in order of question:
No, add each other on friday and play when you get the chance
Yes, unless you are both done and want to play right away
There will be a thread on the steam group and here for results
As soon as they are reported to me/rai
Either Thursday at midnight EST, or 2 or 3. Whenever I go to bed to allow last minute entries. There will be an announcement in the group and on here.
Whenever you get the chance, but you have 48 hours to play or the person not ready is DQd (we are still working on this)
You might have to wait all weekend for your match. But they last like, 5 minutes at most, so i'm sure you will be fine.
The structure is in the OP for the most part.
 
With Spectator Mode Testing going on in Beta, What are the chances of Top 8 being Streamed?
 
I tried using fraps and my FPS went from 60 -> 20 and it was the worst.
I'll be recording my match(es) via LGP because why not.
