I could have sworn there was a thread for this game already, but searching around I can't seem to find it. Must've gotten it confused with the thread about Fillia fan art by the devs/crossover possibility.

Happened to stumble upon the sales page for the game at Play Asia whilst looking for another game I wanted to import. Haven't been terribly hype for it with Skullgirls filling my air dash fighter niche, but I have been following the gameplay loosely since the original version and it does look kinda fun (though the original seemed broken). I'm thinking about giving this an import, especially since it's confirmed region free + online play.
 
I'm glad that it's finally getting a console port. I might pick it up at some point but it's pretty crazy how many fighters are coming out so close together these days -- Arcana Heart 3 LM and P4AU are going to come out later this year too and Xrd can't be too far behind.

I'll probably main Linne just because rushdown loli, but I'm open to the idea of playing Hyde or Eltnum too. The one issue I have with this game is that it looks pretty generic in terms of character design. Not much straying from archetypes here. I'm glad the newer version doesn't have such crazy long combos though; UNIB matches weren't very fun to watch.

Too bad this game has virtually no chance of being localized or getting a non-PS3 port.

Yeah, I'll probably go for Linne first too. Her playstyle reminds me of Wolverine with an air dash.

I don't think it looks as deep or strategic as Skullgirls or KOF13, but it seems like a fun fast paced game to break out every once and a while for some high speed hijinks.

Not seeing the localization either, what with French Breads awful track record on that subject.

Doesn't the Japanese version already come with English menu and options?
 
Wow. The release date of late 2015 sounds so far away I thought the current year was 2013.

Probably gonna try out Hyde and Akatsuki first and go from there to see if anything clicks.

Heh, looks like I was wrong about the localization. Well good new for sure. I'll probably give it a try than when it comes out.

Yuzuriha is #1 choice. Also interested in Gordeau, Eltnum, Carmine and maybe Hilda.

So whats the deal if I want to get a digital copy of the JP release? How do?
 
So, the game is out on PSN Japan. Has anyone tried out the online mode? People on Dustloop have been saying that the connection is actually good when it's around 3 bars and 2 bars I think. I have ordered the physical copy from CDJapan. The website says it will take 4-12 to arrive with Registered Airmail, but the wait is now killing me.

Nah Chaos is a worse character from what I seen. Akatsuki is at least decent once he gets in and has good tools.
 
Merkava has been kidnapping too many waifus lately. I'm still gonna stick to my guns with Hilda when i get to play the game finally.
 
My friend is giving me the game tomorrow.

Is the version out on psn the current EX Late version or the original?

Except that a lot of his moves are unsafe and merkava can basically get him from super long range. If he even attempts a fireball, merkava full screen grab
