Uniel lost some players in this period thanks to GGXRD release, but there are still players to play with [at least in EU].

I've never had the opportunity to play this but if they released it on steam I'd buy it to support ASW/fighting games on Steam. Plus it looks fun
 
Right now, PC gamers are really hurting for decent fighters. We have SG and a very unoptimized SFIV. Jumping onto the PC was arguably a very, very good thing for the over-all health of SG, and I think it could be quite a good thing for other smaller fighters (like UNIEL).

Big fighters do sound like they are moving over though, so Arcsys needs to move on it before their niche fighter remains niche because things like DoA5, Tekken 7, and SF5 suck up huge swathes of the fighter market.

There's also the relatively recent surge (within the past year) of Japanese games on Steam, both ports and doujins alike. UNIEL would fit right in and I'd buy it day one, full price.

like goddamn we're even getting Neptunia (also buying that day one get@me), step yo shit up ASW
 
I'm wouldn't be super surprised Uniel is coming on over to PC

Its where melty started after all.

PSN updates on Tuesdays, doesn't it? You'd have to wait a bit for it but I think it'd be on the same day.

Just picked it up though I'm nervous about how much I'll like it since top 8s seem to be 90% mirror matches with stupid Gordeau.
 
Is the beginner lobby still up? I'd like to get some training in.
 
Even though I had this JPN since release do you guys mind if I join the beginner lobby to shake off the rust and learn some of the characters I never had time to learn before?
 
I can't seem to find the lobby so I'll make a new one which looks like < as the name. All beginners are welcome.

Everyone has tech against gordeau, Literally the amount of stupid gords i've destroyed with hilda is hysterical.

So how is the balance in this game out of curiosity.

I went ahead and picked it up because <3 Chaos, Merkava, and Spider guy, so I'll find out soon enough I guess.

I hate digital, but I was desperate.
 
@Blaise Thanks for the lobby. It was fun to practice against different characters (played against Orie, Hilda, Gordeau, and Hyde). I definitely need go have more lab time with Seth, learn some more combos and expand my current BnB. I'll be back for more beginner matches again.

I really like this game. I haven't gotten the chance to play it due to a huge backlog of games nad no one really to play with. It's been awhile since I've played a fighting game that gave me the spark to play a lot and want to focus on it.

UNIB has always looked pretty...well I never had uch interest in it till I learned it was a fighting game. I've been thinking of picking it up now, but I hoenstly don't know what to expect. What's it play like, really? I can't get too good a feel for it from the screenshots and trailers...
 
I was able to buy it off PSN today as I couldn't say no to this deal. I haven't played MB in years so it'll feel good playing these kind of styled games again.
My psn is acfan17 if anyone wants to play a bit when I get the basics down! Which should be tomorrow.

Besides the top 2 or 3 (gordeau, merkava, sorta waldstein) and maybe the bottom 2-ish characters, balance is pretty good. You just might find yourself sort of being bs'd by those top characters if you really don't know what you are doing (and sometimes even when you do know what you are doing).
 
Lol balance, hilda has an 8-2 matchup with nanase and 7.5 - 2.5 with akataski
 
Akatsuki vs Merkava makes me want to drink
 
A Merkava player would have to feel bad losing to Akatsuki. I remember one stream where this commentator almost lost it when an Akatsuki somehow made Merkava his bitch.
 
The game isn't balanced but it has some VERY fun to play characters, that's for sure.

I main(ed) Carmine but I love(d) dabbling in pretty much every character in the cast.

Now if only the game wasn't certified dead here.
