So I am currently going through all the articles in http://skullgirls.com/forums/index.php?threads/beginner-resources-thread.242/ And in the "Understanding Undizzy" post, it said this feature was added in the Mildly Different Edition. I own the steam version, is MDE the version for steam? It also says it takes 90 frames to recover from 350+ ack to 0 (1.5 seconds). I am not sure if this 90 frames start immediately after the last hit, or if it only start counting once the victim has returned to neutral stance. For instance, if a character was getting comboed in air but left alone to fall to the ground, would the timer start since the last hit or after he/she has landed and has returned to neutral stance?

The timer starts after the opponent has returned to neutral (and it stops counting down if he gets hit/put in blockstun again)

Max Undizzy is 240 now

MDE was "Squigly Edition"; since then we've had BigBand, Fukua and Eliza.

MDE actually stands for "More Different Edition"

the timeline is:

Vanilla
SDE - Slightly Different Edition
MDE - More Different Edition
Encore

We're currently on Skullgirls Encore, which is the retail steam version and the console versions. The beta version has a couple more changes that should be added at the same time as beowulf.

Also:

The timer indeed only starts after the opponent leaves block/hitstun, but it's also important to note that in Skullgirls characters can recover while still in the air unless they are put in knockdown state.

I know what it 'stands for', but it's a super stupid term that does nothing but confuse people

I'm rather thankful that the community understood this (albeit one character too late) and continued with just labelling further patches via the respective added DLC character

Would be real fun to explain whether we are currently on "Giga Different Edition" or "Uber Different Edition" or "Not that Different Edition, hehe".

Or, in 'Real Patch Terms', "The Changes from Unfinished Business Edition (UBE) to Are You Ready For? Edition (I don't know, AYRFE?) were met with mixed reception" is kinda a bit impossible to read, even for people who follow the game..

Encore

We're currently on Skullgirls Encore
This is missing some patches..

The 'M' actually stood for 'Mostly' because 'More' sounds stupid, but really it doesn't matter.

Call it "Whine about Undizzy Edition" or also "Whens Undizzy? Edition", aka WUE instead.

Most of the time when I mention the "editions" (and wow there's a lot) is to talk about combos, even when there's a bunch of gameplay changes, they affect mostly specific things, most people would just say "lenny stopped being able to explode during argus at some point during encore". Other than those editions, changes weren't big enought for people to call them something else, even with the additions of new characters.

But yeah, the names are pretty stupid but what can you do, that's how the community established it and for everyone to stop using them at this point would be pretty hard...
