In addition to the news about the new tracks being added to the Skullgirls OST, LabZero have posted some information about the status of the next patch for Xbox 360 and PS3 on the indiegogo page.

We're still working on releasing the console patches, but unfortunately they're going to take longer than anticipated. Here's why:
1. There were more bugs introduced by the PC version than anticipated. We believe we've mostly cleared these up now, but still need more time before we go back into test.

2. Second, MikeZ got married (!!!) and that naturally took a lot of time away from fixing bugs.

3. We need Konami to help us out some with some things in order to do some Microsoft TRC checks, and thus far they have been completely unresponsive. Feel free to use this information however you see fit.

As always, if you have any questions feel free to contact us at indiegogo (at) labzerogames (dot) com.

Here we go again! 2 more weeks for 6 months! Deleting SG from XBOX now, not going through this again. Here I come, PC SG!

Glad to have a update but not so glad about it's actual content. Ah well, que sera, sera...

Congratulations to Mike. Wish him and Mrs Z a lifetime of happiness.

We all had this dance before with the SDE on XBL and the DLC colors release date so if anything we can be patient for MDE to arrive on consoles.

Sorry this video is just too perfect. Konami/MS is building crew and Lab Zero is Tom Hanks/Gal

On another note congrats Mike on the marriage hope you receive many years of happiness

Oh well, at least its on steam now so we can get steady updates in the meanwhile.

On a positive note, seems the next console gen is going to be a tad more dynamic (maybe even having beta patch streams like steam?). Of course, we'll also have Steam OS so we could just throw consoles in the junk, make a Steam Box and be done with that crap :)

Interesting to see the difference between Steam updates and console updates. If only there was some sort of machine that ran on Steam, but was still a console..... hhmmmm....

Soon....

Shoot, and I was just telling my friend that the console patch would be coming out soon. Still, take as much time as necessary for a quality product, Skullgirls Team.

I still will wait patiently for my PS3 to get it since my comp isn't great for games. period.

I stare at the extra downloads in the Xbox marketplace and ask myself a simple question, "Why? Why Xbox-kun, why?"

I'm most concerned about Konami being "completely unresponsive." They're in a position to totally screw the game over. Autumn apparently has a lawsuit against them (for money[?]), and the Skullgirls team has been vocal about their frustration with them, in the past. If they decide to play intra-company politics they could really cause trouble.

It will probably come out suddenly within a few days of christmas, making all of your preparations to play it on the laptop useless too.

At the rate Big Band is going, I'm starting to genuinely believe Night Phyre's claim that Big Ben will be marching to the beat of his own drum before the patch.

Well, I won't complain. The real show starts after Mr. Birdland, after all. :3

No offense to Konami but that company is bad and I hope they...I dunno, fuck off or something

and after the real show is the main event! ^u~

One good thing is guaranteed to come out of this. All of these delays will push every competitive player to PC; nobody will be playing console SG again unless it's a tournament. Good stuff.

I would love to get the Mac port...but no Mac port is currently in existence. If I am wrong please correct me, I really want to play SG on my laptop.

Using Wine is a form of remedy. That is how I usually play whenever I'm on Macbook.

I'd rather just wait for the port. I had many problems with wine trying to play other Microsoft OS games before. But thank you for the consideration Number 13.

I'm just hoping consoles get the patches in the near future. not a lot of people (including me) have the funds for a high end PC and updating the parts when better ones come out and flawless internet access, so its not fair to ostracize the ones who cant afford to play games skullgirls at the best quality on PC.

You really don't need a high end laptop to play SG. Mine has been through Hell and back and it plays SG just fine, and the graphics card is pretty outdated.

even so, not everyone can afford high end PCs and maintain them, so consoles are an easy market for those less fortunate with funds.

and this isnt really a problem with consoles, its a problem with konami.

Um... I can't afford anything being a broke high school kid. This laptop has been around since '09. And my mom paid around 170ish for it. (I think that was how much she paid)

but unlike a large desktop, you cant replace the graphics card with a stronger one. in fact, most of the parts in a laptop cant be replaced. once they broke, they broke.

Someone should make a thread with a list of various hardware/OS combinations that people have used and whether they have been able to get the game running on it .That way, if people are looking for a machine specifically to run Skullgirls on, there will at least be some benchmarks for them to make a decision by.

I did not know that. Sorry but I'm not that knowledgeable about computers.

Someone should, not me because I could never keep up with what everyone would saying and I'd get lost in a whirlwind of technology. Abandon ship!

its alright. I didnt even know you couldnt swap out parts on a laptop until after mine broke after 3 years.

That sounds kind of like a console. What was the point of this statement?

because not all laptops are built for games. and the ones that are, they be hella expensive.

The one I have might have been built for games. But this thing was made a while ago and it's been through a lot. But I didn't know that some parts can't be swapped out.

Oh boy....more months of waiting until I can play Skullgirls again on a nice TV instead of my crap Computer... OH WELL

I know a website that does that automatically - http://systemrequirementslab.com/cyri/requirements/skullgirls/11781/?p=a
