Audio What voice actor would you want to voice future DLC characters?

Well to be completely honest the whole Liam Neeson thing was a joke to be honest I think Jim Cummings would be a good voice for Brain Drain.

I was wondering how it would have been if Umbrella was voiced by Ashly Burch aka Tiny Tina for example, with a childish tone of course.

As I recall, isn't she also Sasha in the Attack on Titan dub?

Anyway, I'd like Robin Atkin Downes as Dr. Stanley. Because he's the medic. And Travis Touchdown.

A lot of VAs doing multiple roles but I think I understand why. My thoughts:

Samson: Patrick Seitz

Aww....I wanted him to be Yu-Wan. I'm guessing Kaiji was just that obsessed w/ getting the role. (Also why do I feel he got typecast for this simply because Christine voices Mako and he voices Gamagori?)

Yu-Wan: Kaiji Tang

5 points for me. I will never understand the fascination in Kaiji's joke voice for Yu-Wan. I prefer his Irvin voice more.

Annie: Erica Mendez

LOL! Why am I not surprised Ryuko is Annie? That's actually a lot better than who I would've picked. And it continues to back my point that Lab Zero should collaborate w/ Studio Trigger to make a Skullgirls anime.

Minette: Cassandra Lee

Aww.... I wanted her to be Hive. So who got that role?

Hive: Erin Fitzgerald

.....I'll only accept this if she sounds like Chiei from Persona.

Ileum: Laura Post

Awww that should've been Wendee Lee's role. Or Kari Wahlgren's. Sometimes I question Alex's casting choices.

Stanley: Christopher Smith

No LittleKuriboh? I'm sure he would've worked for cheap. Well I'll give Chris a shot.

Black Dahlia: Wendee Lee

Oooooh that one's gonna be fun.

Molly: Cassandra Lee

So's that one.

Brain Drain: Kaiji Tang

I would've picked Crispin Freeman. Or if you couldn't get him, have Patrick Seitz do him as well. I cannot for the love of me picture Kaiji voicing Brain Drain w/o hearing him for myself.

Avery: Christine Marie Cabanos

I thought Avery already had a voice. Didn't Sarah voice him in-game already or something? I'm pretty sure that WRYYYYYYYY he makes when you luck out and get the steamroller drop didn't just magic itself into the audio track out of nowhere.

Tommy Ten-Tons: Mike Zaimont

ROFLMAO! Oh man. What's Mike gonna make him sound like? (I hope he sounds like Charlie Adler's Mr. Bighead voice)

Leduc: Kyle Hebert

WHAT?! That's the last person you wanna hire for him! Johnny Young Bosch, Spike Spencer, Lucien Dodge, I'd even take Bryce Papenbrook. They know how to voice teenagers. Kyle Hebert cannot do teenage boys! You get to him to voice loud over the top men! That's what he does best! If he can prove himself when the PS4 version releases I'll change my mind but as a first impression based on the casting alone, this is a pretty big miscast. Name one teenager he's voiced where's he been a proper match because I can't think of any.

Adam: Christopher Smith

See now THAT'S who Kyle should be voicing.

Umbrella: Cassandra Lee

I cannot picture her voicing Umbrella. Then again, the only Cassandra Lee voice I'm familiar with is Leafa from SAO. (And even then she sounds too much like Cherami Leigh)

Zane: Matt Mercer

If he screams NUDIST BEACH at least once in the 2nd Encore story mode, I'm going to suffocate from laughter.

Vitale: Kyle Hebert

That should've been Jamieson Pierce's role.

So that pretty much covers everyone except Scythana, Deep Violet, Taliesin, Hubrecht, Beatrix, Regina, Ottomo, Tom, Roxie, Panzerfaust and Isaac as far as the characters on the Mystery Character polls go.

EDIT: Should probably update this with my choices for roles for those characters.

Scythana: Cast Eric Mendez to voice her too. And tell her to just do Ryuko. Scythana looks like someone who'd have that kind of voice anyway.

Deep Violet: No clue. Who can do a good dominatrix voice?

Taliesin: Sam Riegel. And he should sound exactly like Mephisto from Blue Exorcist.

Hubrecht: Unless you can get Chris Sabat, I'm going with either Kyle Hebert or Matt Mercer.

Beatrix: Julie Ann Taylor. She's voice Kokonoe in Blazblue so I think she has a grasp on how to voice complete bitch characters.

Regina: Carrie Keranan. We already have Ryuko, might as well get Satsuki in there. Plus she has the commanding voice befitting Regina.

Ottomo and Tom: I'm still sticking by my choice of Tom Kenny.

Roxie: Kari Wahlgren. Yeah kinda blanked on that one.

Panzerfaust: GeneralIvan/Chris Guerrero. Need I say more?

Isaac: Fly Lee Tockar in from Canada. Trust me.

Given that Patrick recently revealed he was ALWAYS Samson's VA, it was a complete coincidence, given how far after SG's casting that we got the KLK dub.

Yeah I just found that out. Could've fooled me because I couldn't tell it was him at all.
 
So I love Stanley, and knowing Chris' character background and vocal range, I'm super pumped to hear what Stanley sounds like. I have an idea of it in my head, but I really just can't wait to hear it for real.
 
Sounds kinda Darth Vader-ish. A good fit for Panzerfaust since he wears a modified version of the Black Egret gasmask. His has tubes and a pack which leans to a more respirator/rebreather edge.

English casting may have settled, but are you ready for perhaps... Japanese casting?

In the latest IGG update, there's a mystery mentioned for the delayed PS4 release to Japan.
It’ll be released in the EU on July 22nd and… later in Japan.

We’d love to explain the reason for the Japanese delay, but unfortunately we’re not at liberty to. But it’s a good thing. A great thing, even!
A big feature of the PS4 release was the audio overhaul of story mode. The average Japanese person probably has a good grasp of English, but they'd probably prefer something in their own language? Maybe they are planning a Japanese dub of Skullgirls. What else would delay the game?

In all seriousness that could be interesting. The fact that they can't say anything could mean they signed a contract with a dubbing studio (if that's how it works in Japan).

If this is true though it would be a good starting point for an anime with canon story
actually it doesn't but one can still make up conspiracies dream, so this point should be disregarded

As for Japanese grasping English language, eeeehh they have some difficulties, so that could also explain it. Plus Japan has liked a lot SG in general

Beowulf would get the DVD exclusive episode that doesn't advance the plot or anything but is the only episode to actually have a sense of humor.
