Apparently Double's currently most-used disguise is called "Sister Agatha." I'm guessing she's been using this nun on the run look for at least more than a decade (in Parasoul's story, Double mentions the Queen's frequent Grand Cathedral visits -- the perfect place meet Nancy Renoir and give her the Skull Heart).

Makes me wonder if there was a real Sister Agatha. What happens to Double's targets? Probably like the real Zane McDougal, dead and turned into a nutrient slurry in Gehenna's blood lake.

And it looks like Double has now taken up pretending to be Filia...

If double was a lovable as you make her out to be then I would go to church more often. On a serious note what material is double made out of?

ok honestly the nun form of double was probably once an actual person but then legit double came in one day and just....bye sister agatha lmao

or maybe that's really just her default disguise? honestly i feel like her nun form is just kind of her go to disguise being that she spends literally all her time in the cathedral. maybe it started with queen nancy's visits and then she just...stayed there and took over?

double probably can't create a disguse from scratch she probably takes on the look of an already existing person. This is proved by her ability to intimate the cast's appearance and abilities.

Also when she copies someone's ability does she copy their power too or is her power dampened when she takes form?

also i agree with the whole stitchy thing. shes got all the parts, why not make a collage or something?? i mean i bet shes a creative person. just look at her choice of sunglasses. incredible

she probably just studies the appeal of the youth of today to pick out her next victim and collect new ideas

Double is an artist. It ("her" bio specifies neutral pronouns, I often forget) can take inspiration from reality and then blend it into special nightmare fuel. Consider this: an intruder is getting up in your Skullgirl's grill. Do you whip out a smooth tentacle to lasso her quickly, or do you...

Speaking of changing... forgive my impertinence, but the thread title needs to change. It's too plain for an oddball character like Double and the lack of capitalization, punctuation, and spelling hurts my brain.

I'm...uhm...gonna go ahead and reveal that, after a quite long talk with some friends that also play this game, we came into agreement that Double has some crazy sex appeal, just as @Muro once said, She can be anything you want her to be.

I just like how to Double keeps a stoic demeanor through most of her interactions with other characters. It makes moments where she flips out or make really some new forms and faces all the more fun.

Double's really fun to play. Some of her references are amazing. Eh, that's about it from me. I want to see more of Zane-style double :D
 
I used to just view Double with contempt considering how manipulative she is and what she does to those she defeats.

But then I played Eliza's story.

Eliza/Sekhmet apparently killing Aeon, Venus, and Lamia had really hurt Double it seems. In one of her opening lines she even referred to them as her "family". I couldn't help but feel bad for her. Just makes me wonder what exactly she is, how'd she end up serving Lamia and her daughters, and what her ultimate goal is.

It says on her wiki page that her nun disguise is of no one in particular, which basically means she just came up with it on her own so she could blend it with all them church folk.
 
Here's a weird theory I had. what if double is Lamia but jus another version of her. not an avatar or servant or physical form of her mind you, but another parallel dimension form. the Mother/Lamia and her daughters we see in double's ending are in a dimension where they escaped Eliza.

After Eliza's story mode, I just kind of figured Double WAS Lamia. When Eliza calls in Double she even refers to her as "Lamia!" or when Double switches in with Eliza, Eliza will say "Lost your touch~?", which could imply that Double was a Queen of some sort or at least had some sort of authority or power. Not to mention all of the new QUOTES that were added for Double that hint at this, on top of the uncanny resemblance she shares to Lamia (Blonde hair, a five pronged crown, and the same body-figure.). When Double faces Eliza now, she constantly references the fact that Eliza killed HER family.

"My family shall be avenged...", "I SHALL BE AVENGED!!", these QUOTES, along with many others, are key points to this theory, Aeon and Venus are both the daughters of Lamia, in Eliza's story mode Double loses all of what she had been known for in terms of her personality in the sense that she was always a calm, cold, emotionless monster who only cared about serving the Trinity. But, when she confronted Eliza, she was completely emotionally distraught, which was very unlike her. Double then goes on to say that her daughters were killed by Sekhmet, all the while taking the form of the statue of the Trinity that we see in the Grand Cathedral. This all hints at the fact that Double herself was in fact Lamia the whole time.

One more interesting QUOTE is when Double is beaten by Eliza now, she says "My... Revenge...". This clearly means Double/Lamia is trying to avenge her daughters, and herself. This can also be the reason why Double/Lamia is roaming on Earth disguised as a nun, if Double/Lamia operated as a Divine Trinity, then losing the other two members (Aeon and Venus.) would make the Trinity less powerful. Maybe Lamia is forced to remain on Earth because of the fact that her Trinity was broken apart by Sekhmet, which would explain why the two have such a hatred for each other.

But, I'm over-thinking it. It was just my theory on that topic.
 
I'd say Double is a part of Lamia that's broken off as acts as an intermediary for her will. So making her both Lamia and not. How is this?

Perhaps in her total despair from Eliza's actions, Lamia did weep and claw at her own face and a chunk of it tore off (the missing part) and that chunk of face formed into Double, the dragon of many faces.

Sounds like something in the style of old mythological tales, right?
