Eliza Squigly Big Band
Shall i buy squigly or bigband?
 
Ideally, you should try and get all of the characters. All characters are viable/fun, it all comes down to preference in the end.

Squigly is a stance character with the ability to manipulate the screen/camera. Big Band is a heavy character with big damage. Which sounds more fun to you?
 
Also, you can try out both characters in the beta to see which one is more up your alley.
 
I buyed squigly(later i will buy big band and new colors)

Good to know you're getting both!

(btw, once you find out for yourself how gigantic his hitboxes are, you'll find he's actually one of the easier characters to kill. If he doesn't SuperSonicJazz you first!)

Nowhere in his profile does it say he is a non-native speaker of English. Literally could not have known. It's just that where i come from, bad grammar like that can get you banned easily, and most cases there are people being too young or lazy to type correctly.

- Poking for him is easier.
- Air combos with him are easier.
- His supers are highly damaging and safer.
- "Plays" music in the combos.
- He can parry.
- Story Mode of his is fun.
- Trumpet Free Style.

Hmm hard choice I would say go for big band you get more band bang for your buck.
He's fun to play and if you care about story modes then choose him because his story mode was the start of the quality increase. Ideally you should get both but if you can only pick one go for the Band.

If I'm not mistaken, Squigly came first, and her story mode is one of the the best. Man I want that story mode to become a movie.

That's your opinion and I respect it. While I think Big Band's is still the best story mode to date Big band had a better quality increase such has more cutscene art, more of a narrative and reason why he's fighting the people he's fight plus it gave more of a look on not just big band but Peacock and what actually happened to the people in Lab 8. What I'm saying is Squigly's story is more self contained and doesn't have that much of an arc of you think about it, but Big Bands story has a better narrative in my opinion.
 
Both are boss.

The question is not that. You said that the quality of story modes started to increase with the BB's story mode, but all of DLC's story modes are more lengthy when compared to the original cast, with more cutscenes and more dialogues. And Squigly came first, so the quality increase started with Squigly's story mode.

SPOILER ALERT (I will talk a little about Squigly and BB story mode)

And I think squigly's story mode is better because it feels like the quest of a woman with tragic past to protect the world that she's not belong anymore to. The way she chooses to sacrifice herself at the ending to do the right thing, right after finally avenging her family would make a perfect ending for a movie. BB's story mode is just another day of work for him. But at the end everyone haves his personal preferences, I guess.
 
i play squigs and LOVEEEEE her....but objectively speaking I feel bb is probably a little better. a great team-player and incredible anchor...wow. and if you use his taunts??? omfg he's SCARY. if i liked big characters, i'd pick bb in a heartbeat.

HOWEVER, squigly probably will be the easiest for you to learn here (i feel) because the threads are VERY well organized...especially the combo thread. youd love it. check out my sig :)
