  • Will it consist of only fully evolved Pokemon? DEFINITIVE NO
  • Will it only have bipedal Pokemon? DEFINITIVE NO
  • Will type match ups apply? NO COMMENT (that usually means yes)
  • 1 on 1, 2 on 2? "It's a secret (we have some cool ideas)"
  • Will it be on PS3 or PS4? LOL (someone actually asked this)

That sounds like it's going to hurt a lot of the competitive aspect of the game, unfortunately.

I do wonder.
Cause I mean, actual Pokemon remains pretty competitive despite the existence of type advantages.
I'm curious if they could possibly translate that to a fighter.
 
Here's my thoughts:

It's not a 1 on 1 fighter, or a 2 on 2. I think it'll be 3 on 3, with the idea that it is a battle between trainers. You can switch out and stuff, and it becomes this idea of using combos to bring in the Pokemon with the better typing to continue it.

Obviously there'd need to be a limit or condition to switch out, otherwise it'd just be changing over and over. Imagine it like SF X T's Tag Rush or whatever where you have to do a certain combo to switch them in. That'd be really sweet.
 
The last thing I want this to be is a team fighter. This is about Pokémon getting serious and bash their skulls in, fuck trainers, they and their silly rules don’t belong here. Its a 1 on 1 deathmatch to the finish, puny humans don’t understand the Pokégrudge.

I want a normal 1v1 fighter, they should rather try to make the battles itself more complex with a system that works like the stats in regular Pokémon-games and blocks that feel like the protect-move (block guaranteed for first few hits, chance of successfully blocking goes rapidly down the more you block) then to implement team-shenanigans.

I'm oddly looking forward to this, and I never play 3d fighters. Also, considering that they announced that there'll be non-fighting-type Pokémon, Legendaries, anyone? :)

Yeah! Now I can't even shame people for liking Gardevoir* without people thinking my reason is the fetish thing anymore! I just think its just a cornucopia of dumb because gardevoir was originally intended to be male, and the confusion about it just got out of hand from there.

then it would be a male only species

gardevoir can be either gender (though depictions have an obvious female skew now because of Gallade)
 
my guess was that it was the original intention to be ambiguous with gender, but it seems more people saw it as female, and kept it that way, and it seems that gallade and mega-gardevoir are both ways of game freak just owning up to it. I'm just sick of some people immediately putting down gardevoir just because some people fetishize it.
