Indivisible: Lab Zero's Action-RPG! (General Discussion)

Another risk of extending the time limit is that people could think L0 are getting desperate
It's better to look like a doof
Question - how would it be it looking like a, uh, "doof", to extend it, if this is our chance to do this? Wouldn't that show seriousness about the cause instead of willingness to back down?
What would you qualify "either this happens or Lab Zero is out of known options" as, instead of desperate, then?

Sorry, didn't want to sound negative. You're right, though, extending the deadline is a good strategy and it would certainly show the seriousness of the cause. Besides, the PS4 prototype is coming, and hopefully that will help the campaign a lot. Truly, I wish you nothing but good luck and good fortune, so I'll just do my best to keep spreading the word.

If we're worrying about people who will see L0 extending the campaign negatively, we're worrying about the wrong things, as Mike Z said. Everyone with half a brain and any idea what's going on with this campaign will understand.

If there was any way for IGG to let you guys bypass that 3-day rule, and wait 'till the last day, or even the last few hours to make the extension, I think that would be the best option. Extending the campaign is definitely a smart choice, but the downside is that it would put the end of the campaign around the holidays. If people see the deadline get pushed back too early, they might decide to just keep holding their pledges, but then get too caught up in travels and gift shopping to check the IGG before it ends.

A momentum shift definitely needs to happen before the current deadline, so the extension would only be needed to pick up a remaining 10-20%. I wish some of these people would quit waiting around for the last minute, and just pledge already!

Talking too much about extensions at this point is a bad idea. The people who keep putting off their contribution date will just hold their money for another day and the people who haven't jumped in yet are not as likely to hold off on that once in a year 42" plasma deal as we are. Seriously, Indvisible vs Black Friday is not a match up in our favor. Anyone who doesn't know about the Indiegogo time extension and plans to contribute is best kept in the dark about that. Gotta put the fear of God campaign failure in them instead.

No you had it right the first time. Scribble Cat is not one who forgives easily. Once angered he becomes a force unlike no other, very little remains of a poor soul who tries to pet him when he clearly does not want any pets.

campaign around the holidays.
Can confirm, fitting in my contribution alongside gifts for family in my budget was kind of tricky. On the other hand, getting more paycheck periods could be handy.

In any case, it was just a question, and I'm glad they're considering the time extension. I don't really think IGG will let them extend it at the last minute, though, and while I concur with the holidays opinion, some people also might look forward to earn a few extra cash to donate. I also know there are people waiting to pledge at the last minute, but I think L0 would take the gamble depending on the amount of money they have by then.

Sorry if this was already replied but:
What did you choose to do with backing delivery in the end? Will you send the items soon and physical game in 2018, separated?

Ship everything at once overwhelmingly won.

Who's gonna cover the cost of that playable Incarnation, tho? 505? Is really 10k the cost of a playable character? Seems kinda low

Considering the thought Lab Zero has put in showing how they use their budget in the past and now, is that really a thing to be concerned about? [emoji14]

Wow its actually taken. I can't wait to see what Colin gives us.

I DIDN'T REALIZE SOMEONE FINALLY PLEDGED 10K I WELCOME OUR DIVINITY COLLIN MCMILLEN

Is it offensive to ask questions
It's not. But your initial post seemed like it came from a stance of assuming the cost was too low by asking who was covering costs, rather than just asking *if* it was low first.

I'm still waiting for Zubaz as a boss. I actually thought he was going to be the playable Incarnation but oh well.

What does that even mean

And we broke another 50K! aaaaannnnd we are well on our way to another 50K!

DUAL INCARNATION CONFIRMED or at least Wedding Incarnation confirmed?

I'm guessing the playable incarnation was put to the side before hand. If someone donated 10k, they would be able to help design incarnations they had planned for the full roster. If the slots weren't filled up, then they'd create and flesh out the incarnations after the crowdfunding, but either way the funds for the 10k/20k and boss/room tiers, even if they are not taken, are there. If no one takes them then L0 just does what they want instead.

EDIT: Wedding Incarnation is cool. I always thought that'd be a cool idea. I had this idea for a guy who had a familiar or djinn that did the fighting for him, but he controlled it via a lamp, like he could throw the lamp and then use his other 2 attacks to summon the djinn, or wait a few moments to pick it up automatically.

The Wedding guys are kind of a similar idea, at least in theme, of more than one creature aiding Ajna as one collective fighter. (Bom doesn't count, shush)

Maybe the extra bosses, incarnations and secret rooms are already considered in the game's budget...?

Kushi and Altun say "Hi." Well, Kushi says "Hi." Altun just sort of majestically glares in greeting.

Props to Colin! I almost didn't realize the campaign jumped $10k at first. Now anyone that had their eyes on Divinity has to step it up a notch.

Actually, I was just thinking the other day about how awesome the Brahman tier is. With all of those options, you could implement some pretty heavy things into the game. You could do something like adding Bleu's part in BOF2, or even creating a Magus at Ozzie's Fort scenario like in CT. It's basically a little sidequest that you can mold to your liking. I really hope someone picks it up so we can see what they might come up with.

Shush, I totally didn't forget about them...t-totally!...

The Colin donation gives me a spark of hope that I haven't felt in a while. LZ might make it out of this alive after all...
