Annie and other guests confirmed? Well this might be what we need to build some momentum. Will be a nice melting pot with PS4 getting prototype. Should be easier to convince a few people I know since they are Annie fans.
 
If you guys get Undyne from Undertale as a guest character, I will bring my contribution up a whole tier.
Not joking, I seriously will.

Nah man, Sans should be a hidden boss fight, for when Ajna grows mad with power with all the incarnations she's absorbed.

I'm wondering if it's gonna only be indie characters featured or if Sony/Microsoft/maybe even Valve would let L0 use their characters.
 
Earl is in charge of setting up the AMA, but I believe it'll be under IAMA.

And he'll have to clarify, but I don't think it will be on the schedule, even though it's happening.

We'd be open to a platform-exclusive Incarnation, but I'd rather not get into that if we can avoid it. Right now I think it's great that all of our guest characters are actually available on all of the platforms we're on.

I am still hyped for dragon knight but shovel knight though. Nonetheless I will allow myself some hype for the dragon knight, for great shoverly.

Man too bad it wasn't Scythana. Pheobe/Scythana on my team would have been the bomb. (giant girls forever)

Nevertheless, this hopefully will help the campaign A LOT
 
Is all this really necessary? Annie and Shovel Knight yeah, they make sense as super secret incarnations but all these others i've never heard of? Is the dilution of the game's creative essence really the cause for hype?

Wow, this was not the kind of news I was expecting, but super cool. Probably gonna hit another incarnation reveal as I type this as well!

At this point in the campaign I think the biggest problem was getting the word out beyond skullgirls/LabZero fans. We'd kind of reached a saturation point. But this ought to rectify that!!

I wonder if another round of guest characters could make it as a stretch goal.

As for how it'll likely be presented in the game...

Currently we're thinking that a dimensional hole will open up in Ajna's Inner Realm, and you can meet the crossover characters in there. We want to make it abundantly clear that they're guests in this world.

Super quick question: Are they going to be secret characters, like the Battletoads and Kratos in Shovel Knight? Or are they actual playable Incarnations? Also, asking Toby Fox if he wants to lend some Undertale characters, at least Undyne, would be absolutely helpful, thanks to the huge Undertale fanbase.

Will probably ask in the AMA thread, but I'm wondering if you guys were able to approach Way Forward for some Shantae action. This isn't a request, but I'm curious as to whether that was a possibility

necessary? I dunno?
funner? totally! sorry you don't know many of them but at least you'll have all the original character to choose from so in the end not like you lose anything from this

besides this like everybody dream thing to do when there kids get your oc together and have them do team ups and stuff. I love stuff like that

like smash brothers...but without nintendo...and it's not a fighting game(competitive brawler? I dunno)

Indiegogo doesn't accept Prepaid debit cards, which I do have unfortunately. I'll probably try a Visa gift card as suggested and hope it works.

Congrats man, you'll get your wish. I honestly gotta say I'm pretty hyped for this. In recent times I've grown to like Annie, so it'll be fun to see her and Sagan rip it up.

I don't really see this as damaging the game's creative integrity. It isn't taking anything away from their design or intent, and Lab Zero's working to make sure they fit in, personality and battle-wise. It's not like Shovel Knight's digging any of the revealed Incarnations' graves. As I see it, you didn't have to play Super Meat Boy with any of the unlocked characters, but unlocked crossover characters did make it more fun. It's sort of an artistic standing on the shoulders of giants.

Didn't L0 previously say they weren't putting any sort of Skullgirls cameos in?

Not that I'm complaining of course.
