Guilty Gear Thread

also Dr. Paradigm

maybe he'll be playable soon? He's got a model.

STRATEGERY!
I think he'll only appear in Story Mode.

nah. we're totally getting high level fairy combos.
No, really, Paradigm is only appearing in Story Mode as a NPC.

Kayumi Iemasa
October 31, 1932 – 30 September, 2014 (aged 81)

According to the SRK article, he passed away during a medical procedure. Sad news. This is the second voice actor whose passing, we Guilty Gear fans grieve.
My condolences to his family and loved ones. May he rest in peace.

Yeah, bummer. :(

I remember that Kaneto Shiozawa, who voiced Zato-1 and Eddie, died before Kayumi.

It's a limited demo, too. Until October 29.
You can get a trial for JPN PS+ and it doesn't require a credit card.

Played the demo for about 2 hours and I have to say the game feels and looks fantastic. If anybody was wondered about GGXRD controls being to difficult for them should not worry at all because RCs are a single button press. I played through the tutorial(which I have to say is amazing for the people who are new to GG) and arcade mode as Sol and Ky a couple of times. The game does feel kind of slow compared to the old GGs, but after getting comfortable with the PS4 controls I barely noticed(cared). I believe new and old GG players will enjoy the game(they already are) because it still feels like GG overall.

Can't wait for that NA release date to be announced.

im still looking just heard of it on twitter

Also dual Audio yay, I can understand what my characters are saying
Yeah, both English and Japanese languages! I think I may know who's gonna voice Sol, Ky and Sin. Everyone else... I guess we'll have to wait 'n' see.

Think they'll use the GG2 voices again?

Hopefully they get Michael McConnohie as Dr. Paradigm again.

It's possible. We'll have to wait and see what Aksys has in store for us.

Troy Baker might be too expensive at this point for Sol
You could always go for the budget version with Matt Mercer
or even Travis Willingham, if he's available

Too expensive for Sol? Kinda doubtful. But you could never know.

Troy Baker's been a AAA voice actor since like 2012
s'why Matt Mercer voices Kanji now. Baker is too expensive.

I'm not really complaining, aside from now I won't be playing too many games with troy baker in them since I rarely buy AAA titles, but hey
it's good work for him. And Matt Mercer is a fine voice actor in his own right.

not that it matters, though
GG fans are poopy diaper babies and will complain no matter who voices Sol

Aksys has done a great job with the english voices for Blazblue, so i'm sure Xrd will be fine.

I'm honestly gonna disagree with that one a little
Blazblue's voice acting quality just kind of declined in Chronophantasma, if you ask me.
Not being able to keep Tony Oliver on was the first step
but Chronophantasma was just really
weird
blazblue's casting was spot-on at first but it felt like a lot of the VAs just
forgot how to voice those characters
it was so odd and inexplicable
but Eggzard might be better, so who knows

Blazblue's voice acting got worse after Arc started handling it in Extend. Aksys took care of it before that.

You mean you guys didnt like having 3 seperate voice actors for Hazama in Extend?
It was confusing, yeah. I glad they stuck with one VA for Hazama in CP.
